I'm sorry, but that one went way over my head. Does it have to do with a commercial that I didn't see, or something?

I think that Brett is just a tease. It worked for him again, but I'm wondering if his skills haven't deteriorated to the point where this will be his last hooray.

Go ahead and make fun of my man--you know I love him. Well, I don't love him--it's his fervor for the game and the joy he emotes when playing. You just don't see a lot of players that show their love for the game so openly. I know he must be a body of pain--has to be after all these years--so that decision "to play or not to play," every year has to be genuinely difficult. Whether he's a tease or not, I don' know, but they say if you play ONE game in the NFL, your body is never the same. Imagine playing QB all these years! Danny Marino couldn't even play ball with his sons when he was playing football in the latter years...

From the MSN page:

Man, shot in head, notices five years later.

Obviously he wasn't using his head for much before he was shot. It was probably a self-inflicted wound.

The man said that he was drunk at the time. I wonder what he was drinking? The item said that he was Polish, so I can imagine the jokes going around.

It would seem that he has been drunk all the years since it happened as well, Em. What a moron!

I enjoy watching Favre play, CK. His love of the game is obvious. What I don't enjoy is the annual little drama surrounding whether or not he plays another season. I don't care for drama queens (or kings). It's very self-absorbed behavior...screams "It's all about meee!!"

but I do enjoy watching him play.

Very funny, Ped. I thought you were a Dolphin die hard as well, though?

The reunion was really nice. Sorry you couldn't make it.

You have to wonder what he will do for an encore. Appear out of a cloud of colored smoke? Parachute into the stadium? Be shot out of a cannon into a net? Somebody needs to tell Brett that he can get all of the attention that he wants by playing.

I know I'm naive, but I still think he suffers over that decision ever year because of the pain he knows is involved in playing another season vs. giving it up and saying good-bye forever.

Indecisive people irritate the crap out of me. My ex husband is that way...which is why he is the EX. I'd think at Brett's age he should have figured out what the hell he wants in life. Give me a break.

LOL, what is maddening is to be behind one of those people in a line. They don't even know why they're in the line. They probably stood there because they couldn't decide what they wanted to do. I run into them every time (not frequently, thank God) that I go to fast food places. They have menus to study or posted, but when it's their turn they still don't have a clue what they want. I have to resist suggesting that they take a seat until they decide what they want.

I don't like to accumulate change. I carry all of my change with me and I pay with exact change when I can. That causes no problems. The trouble starts when I try to minimize the number of coins that I receive in change. For example, if the bill is $4.66, I will give the cashiers a five dollar bill, a dime, a nickel and a penny, so I will get back two quarters in change instead of a quarter, a nickel, and four pennies. Half the time the cashier will look at the five, then at the change and then at me. I just tell them to ring it up and let the register figure it out. What are they teaching people in school these days?

I've been reading about Ochocinco and TO. Would you like to have two wide receivers who both have their own TV talk shows (to talk about themselves, of course)? How does the coach get the topic on football when they are focused solely on themselves? It appears that the NFL is unable to stop Ochocinco from tweeting during games. Two egomaniacs can coexist only as long as things are going good. Wait until the losses start and we will see how long the friendship lasts.

If things aren't brought to me here, then I don't see them. The only other place I post is Facebook, and there I pretty much keep it brief. I rarely get into the multiple post thing there. Here, if I don't see any convos I like, I can just start another topic room, lol...

Welcome to the new, improved Switzerland, PatsFan! I'm sorry you had trouble finding us--we've been posting all over the place to give everyone the info on the new website, but I know some people probably missed the posts. At any rate, feel free to check out the topic rooms--and make your own, should you wish.

If you need help navigating, check out Peaceful Corner. Peace has set out all the info about just about everything here, and is happy to take questions, should you have any.

We also have a game room, where you can take a guess on who's eyes are there. Game Master explains it all.

I look forward to posting with you soon!
