Well Sunday showed me that the Hawks' acquistion of Marshawn Lynch was a good one. The combination of he and Justin Forsett in our backfield? What a GREAT running game. And Russell Okung (LT) did his job quietly and effectively ~ shutting down Julius Peppers. A great team effort

LH you didn't take him, he bailed from USC because he saw the NCAA sanctions coming...I guess timing is everything, you needed him and he needed a golden parachute outta SC.

You could be right; but none of the SC fans I've spoken to see it that way.

No we are not happy about Carroll leaving, he was/is a superstar and knows how to get talent. It was a huge loss for us as fans of USC.
On the leaving because of possible sanctions, I'm not buying into. In this country we are innocent until proven guilty and he has said time and again that was not the case. USC is a very strong competitive organization and there are many haters out there that just loved seeing a chink ion the armor.
Myself, I still am a USC fan even though we lost a huge positive factor in Carroll.

It's obvious how much of a factor he already is at Seattle and I wish him well in his new path.

Being the 2nd largest TV market they will get another team. It makes good business sense...Question is two fold:
1) will they wait on another expansion or move a team like Jacksonville
2) they have an ownership group ready is what I hear but funding the stadium is a big hurdle with the CA economy in the toilet.

I think if MOST people thought that Pete Carroll was "guilty" of anything, perhaps he wouldn't garner the respect he is shown in the NFL. I don't know...but it would appear he is well-liked wherever he goes. Heck, even the freakin' game officials love hanging with him on the sidelines during the games. Whenever the camera pans them, they're standing with him, laughing and shootin' the sh** while the referee is reviewing a challenge.

That's a ridiculous statement, the team had plenty of support. In the case of the Rams (in Orange County BTW not LA) the bitch owner took them out in the darkness of night like a cockroach that she was.
In the case of the Raiders, it had everything to do with the Mummy playing one city against the other and ended up leaving.
To say there wasn't any support though is ridiculous to say the least.

Two locations are ready and have been submitted to the NFL for quite some time and there are several ownership proposals on the table. They can do nothing until the NFL says yes or no.
The talk here is the Jags look like the most likely for an existing team with the possibility of the Chargers moving up the coast a bit too. The Chargers have had real issues with attendance as they couldn't even sell out their opener.
Personally I'd like to see the Dolphins here ..... hey a guy can only dream
