Not often that I agree with the entirety of one the authors articles, but this time I do. He's right on all accounts.

So many times I've used the Godfather to explain some actions here at work and DT's camp needs to look at it as well...It's not personal DT, it's strictly business

Stephen A Smith ( IDIOT) just said, Denver may still have Sanders and Welker, but they need DT...Am I missing something? Don't you just love it when an " Expert " comments on your team ?

Godfather, huh? I pictured more of a Cartman phrase like "Respect my authority". Although telling someone that you will ask them for a favor that they can't refuse has its merits.

I agree on the article. Spot on. DT is being greedy.

I agree about the greedy part Kicks, but I think it is more on the part of his and Dez's agents than on DT...How nice will it be to hear, DT is seeking new representation for negotiations going into 2016 ?

Good Morning!

I wasn't planning on coming back for a few weeks still, but my off-season vacation has been cut short with the DT thing...if there's one thing that should never need to be clarified, it is this:

YOU DO NOT MESS WITH JOHN ELWAY!

Cody Latimer...your turn...

Love ya DT, but you're not going to change Elway's mind. He knows how to play the executive game better than most and, at the end of the day, you're a WR that will average less than 10 touches per game.

...and Von Miller, don't let the absurdity of the Chiefs and their contract with Justin Houston get in your head. You have more leverage as a pass rusher than Thomas does as a WR, but don't think you can play hardball with Elway. Give Dumervil a call (or fax) if you need to remind yourself how that works out.

I agree somewhat no receiver is worth that kind of money. I can't understand the comparing of DT to the receiver that caught the winning pass in the Bowl. none there IMO. The broncos have a way of tearing down the players that they will not bring back . this case the media has called DT greedy and we as fans take what we read as gospel. DT is the third best receiver in the NFL now but will he be without Manning? that's the question. Look for the Broncos to see if Ray can rush the passer if he can they will say goodbye to Miller and the media will cut Miller apart and the fans will be alright with it. Just like Latimer does well this season we will be ok with saying bye to DT next season. Food for thought

He wasn't comparing the Edelman to DT, he was making the point that a big time number 1 receiver didn't make the "game winning" catch. He pointed to the fact that Edelman's entire four year contract is around what DT is looking for in a single year. In today's market no WR is worth that money. As shown, the top seven paid WR's this year by contract had zero combined playoff wins last year. Look at all the one and done WR's that were SB MVP. Majority cashed in and were nothing with their new teams.

It's a little short sighted of you to point out that we can't reach a decision different from some hack writing that the player is wrong. If Denver is "tearing down" DT then every team is then guilty of it as well when they release a popular player or a player they can't afford. Again, it's not personal, it's strictly business. The smarter business man doesn't keep upping the price on an overpriced item just because that's what the vendor is asking for. Detroit giving Calvin that contract and Suh and Stafford is no model I want our FO to follow. This is what the players wanted. Free agency or get paid at the top for a single year. If someone else wants to pay 18/year, let them.

Looks like he gets $35 mil guaranteed over the next 2 years, that's $17.5 mil at the beginning. Does that make him the highest paid WR this year? Not sure exactly what Dez is getting

This was a fair deal for both sides. They will take it slow with DT in camp and the preseason so he can get up to speed. We are well aware of the people we have coming up we have some good football players coming up. It's very well deserved on DT part and we will be expecting more from him. DT wanted to stay in Denver and we wanted to make sure he stayed. These are some of Elway's answers the questions are easy to guess I hope I can't type all of the damn thing.

Good to see you South! I've been AWOL as well for awhile between work and vacation.

We still need 3 teams for our FFL. Three players from last year still haven't registered so I'm opening up to the masses so we can fill this thing in plenty of time for the draft. The draft will be like last year, the preceding few days before regular season starts in case of last minute injuries. Same rules as last year. Let me know if someone wants to play and give me an e-mail address they want to play under and I'll send them an invite.

I also play in a Pickem money league very similar to the one Springs had last year (maybe identical). It's around $110.00 to get in for the year and usually pays 130-140 weekly to the winner with a big pot at the end of the year to the top three total scores.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you the info to join.

Down to the wire. Good deal though. Experts said $14 mil a year and that's about what it ends up. DT is happy because its front end loaded so in his mind he gets more at the beginning. I can't believe how much they are paying Houston. Wow! Too much in my humble opinion. But glad that all the teams locked up their guys. Want them all at full strength when we beat them.
