The biggest benefit of having a deep team like ours is having the freedom to make last min deals during the cut weeks. If Vic thinks there is something cooking, its cooking.
I can see us making a mid sized move. Maybe a little bigger than this: #broncos have traded reserve tackle Chris Clark to texans per NFL source - Vic. But perhaps a package style deal to get an above avg O lineman.

Von Miller is amazing (To avoid wasting anyone's time this note will be implied from here on out)
I am not feeling the piss colored 50 yard lines. Looks sloppy and forced.
The new jerseys look significantly silkier than last year (possible competitive advantage).
Talib's "body slam" looked like a text book response to Bush's sad college hurdle to me.![]()
I was told we were running a "3-4" but every defensive front looked different to me.
I wa$ a little di$$apointed with DT'$ wait-for-the-ball-to-come-to-me effort ($hould be attacking).
*Although the DT bubble $creen $taple play made me $mile.
To give props where they are due: the 49ers' Bowman was absolutely everywhere.
Norwood stole the show last night. I'd like to try him in the vacant returnman position.
Buckle up for the Mcmanus experiment. It's going to be a hell of a ride.
Standard heroes: CJ, the D line, Norwood, and the 9er who intentionly fumbeled a pick.
If this defense keeps playing at this level we may need to revert back to the old 'D' helmets.
Best fan T shirt: "Von Miller food bank"
Missed you last week SID. Good takes. Our two biggest question marks(O-line and D-line) seem to be working out nicely. Got my 54 Marshall white jersey the other day. Have a 58 Miller orange one already. My next one just might be a blue Kilgo, I really like that cat. I'm still leaning towards a blue 97 Malik jersey right now. He personifies nasty for this D.

Late round draft picks are okay but getting something proven in return is better. Realistically, when you go below the 4th or 5th round the success stories are few and far between.

I remember joking that he would sprain a pinkie and be out for a game when he was with us. It was a joke but it appears this is not far from that. Dude is just a prima dona. Don't miss him much. Jacksonville's problem now. And how is Decker doing? Ha... So many people think they are worth more than they are. They got the money but will squirm in mediocrity for a good long time.

Elway has been pretty accurate about who to keep here for the big bucks and who to let seek greener pastures. The one glaring exception was the fax pas (see what I did there with faux pas) with Elvis. Look at what he ended up with after letting heavy contributors walk rather than pay the perceived market price. Woodyard- Marshall, Decker-Sanders, J Thomas- Daniels, Franklin-Mathis, Pot Rosat-Kilgo. While the jury may still be out on the last three, I'm happy about the moves. And without having the numbers in front of me, I'm guessing he saved somewhere in the neighborhood of a Gazillion dollars on those five alone. If I'm not mistaken, That was more than enough to pay for Manning, DT, Ware, Talib, Harris Jr, Ward, Sanders, and enough left over to feed Miller. John hss been pretty damn good with the purse string and still keeping the shed well tooled.
kicks wrote:The best thing John did was dump the worthless coaching staff. Fox had no balls. And Del Rio's balls had a Raider tattoo on them from his childhood. I don't mind losing a game, but do your job at least.

Jack misunderstood and shaved the wrong head . Hurt so bad it gave him an English accent

Yes CJ has done well But ball has to get back strong. He still has to know that his injuries are behind him. That was the first time he was ever injured in his career. I hope they keep him but if not I wish him well. Seem to me the team must be asking too much for him other teams must think. He was a 2nd round pick and will be worth it when his head gets right
Kubiak just announced that Ball and Bibbs will get most of the carries in the Game. I guess the winner stays

Ball is running more like a beach ball than a bowling ball right now, but I agree that it seems a little premature to give up on him already. He looked great in a limited role his rookie year. He is getting dominated by Anderson and Hillman now, but Hillman clearly can't carry a full load and Anderson's "won't give an inch" attitude is going to expose him to some risky hits. Denver will likely need a 3rd/4th stringer to take some crucial snaps this year, and I want Ball to have that chance to figure it out.

Still a bit miffed over Dumervil.
