I agree but this was a game that saw us run the ball I'm happy with that Glad I was wrong about the loss but sorry I am right about Manning he had 3 INT's right?

I tried to be patient with Manning in hopes of hanging on to slim SB hopes...it's clear he's can't get it done, even when the running game is working...I don't even care if Oz has zero shot of winning in the post-season...we have to move on

Manning needs to shelf his ego and let Oz have two weeks to prepare and start after the bye. he has to know he is hurting the team, he's too smart not to.

While I will never wish for a loss, I'm afraid that this one will convince Kubes not to shake-up an offense that seemed to make strides...but I think it might be a little bit of an illusion, considering how poor the Browns run defense is.

No idea what will happen other than we have no shot at a SB run even if we win the Division. Kubiak needs to put in Oz just to see if they try to keep him or let him walk next year. The problem is.....I'm not sure he will.

Unfortunately, I think Manning's ego is way bigger than his brain and generosity...If he's going to the bench, it'll be while kicking and screaming. That's why I'm hoping Kubes can convince him to come down with a mysterious "injury" that gives Oz a chance, but keeps the door open for a return if Oz fails. That might be an easier pill to swallow

One thing though...the Browns lost by 3 to the Bolts....beat the Ravens by 3 in OT...and lost by 3 in OT to us. They aren't that bad really.

I think a mystery shoulder injury ploy is a great plan. Give Manning a few weeks off and try out Oz and see if he's worth sticking with.

Pull the quad thing again he did make a block today. I was impressed with the running game 33 rushes for 152 yards. I was worried that the Browns would win happy I missed that. Manning did have some good passes . what happened we pay DT all that money and he can't afford some stickum. Not sure if I spelled it right but he doesn't have any Manning does throw some bad passes but when he hits you in the hands you have to help out your QB.

That's what I've been saying all along. do we pay Brock next season. If Manning wants to win he will swallow his pride and take the keys out of his locker.

A little poll here: Do you think this victory ultimately hurt or helped the Broncos going forward?
I hate to say that I think it might have hurt us, as Kubes probably won't bench a 6-0 QB, regardless of how many INTs he throws...That means that Manning probably is the QB for at least the next 3 games, in which I'm afraid Denver will go 1-2...with 6 wins already, Denver probably won't finish worse than 11-5, so Manning might be here to stay unless he has a bunch more 3 INT games in losses.

Bigmac may be onto something. Have him pull up lame for a week or two and see what we have in Oz. I'm still a believer Oz will flop but at least we'd know before we pay him and find out. If he looks good we move onto the next chapter...if not we run with Manning and anguish in the offseason that we haven't done anything as a succession plan. There never is any good QB's floating around in Free Agency and we'd have to mortgage the farm to move up and get a top QB in the draft next year. And then there's no guarantees with doing that either.

A win is a win. I'd rather take a gamble in a game you know you'll probably lose anyway than to a mid level team you should beat anyway. The next game is probably a loss either way..

It wasn't the most convincing win I've ever seen by the Broncos, but you know what they say about a win (the one about, "a win is a win is a win..." I fully believe that they will be fine. (Unless you're the Dolphins under Philbin) neither a loss or a win is going to decide the following weeks. The injuries are big big big! Yet the Broncos seem to rise above injuries and other problems better than most teams, so smile...

Thanks ck....we're all in the doldrums about how our offense is playing so far.
Speaking of your Phins....I bought a ticket when I was in Wendover Nevada for you. I'll finish up packing the box up I'm sending you tomorrow night and should ship it Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. I'm also sending you the other old tickets I've bought you for the Dolphins as a memento or just for a laugh...lol. As soon as I get a tracking number I'll send it to you via Swiss mail here.

Anyone have the scoop on how bad the injuries are to Ray and Sanders? I only watched part of the game as I was driving back from checking out my Mom and Uncle in Colorado.

both did not look good...Ray's knee was hit from the side and rolled inward...not sure what happened to Sanders, but I'm guessing it's a broken collarbone, at best. I hope to hell he didn't tear his labrum

Not good. Probably won't hear how bad until tomorrow after MRI's and such.

I am not sure we learned any new information today. For me it was the same shit different day. Basically we know what we are getting from here on out and we can run with it (6-0) or start planning for next season (?-?). Old man Manning is aging faster than the play clock but he still has his fundamentals. So I say we mark up this win as "a grit win" and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. It would just kill my buzz to do so. So to answer your question "xxxxx-censored-xxxxxx"

On a side note, I feel props are due: Bigmac before the game:
'Course, the most likely scenario is that the running game continues to grind out 2-4 yard carries, Manning uses the dink-n-dunk passing attack to get just close enough to kick 13 long-ass field goals (thank god for McManimal), but makes 2-3 head-scratching throws that keep Cleveland in the game till the end. Defense makes the difference, and the hand wringing continues...yay.
