Good to be back kicks...I've missed you guys! The personal attacks had kept me away...hope to see that gone for good...

Of course the Chiefs are looking to change rules...anything they can do to give them an edge. Not going to matter though. They're stuck in no man's land in my opinion. Not really good enough to challenge, just good enough to think they have a shot. I'm good with that. Myopic Chiefs' fans are the best kind of fans to torment!

The Raiders have made some solid moves...now does it translate? I think they're still a few key pieces away. Bookends Mack and Irvin are a poor man's Miller-Ware/Barrett , but they are trying. Their arrow is pointing up.

The Chargers are just a joke all around. Not sure what they're trying to do, but they need to scrap it and start from scratch. I honestly don't think they have one player I would want on Denver's roster.

As for Denver, I think Elway has done a great job so far. Solid signings to fit what Kubiak wants to do. I like the Okung deal the more I look at it. He's betting on himself and will play his tail off to get Denver to pick up the 4 year option at the end of the season...and I'm ok with Denver doing that if he does have a pro-bowl year. I think he can thrive here. Stephenson is my question mark. He's been up and down, but will better than Schofield for certain. I like Sambrailo at OG and I do think Garcia and Paradis are trending up. All in all, it's a solid OL. To the QB position, I don't care what Elway decides on as I think all the options available to him are good ones. If Denver makes the trade with SF for Kaepernick, great. I think he would do very well in this system. If Denver keeps Sanchez, I like his potential in this offense for a year or two while Kubiak develops a drafted QB (Lynch, Prescott, Jones, etc...).

Bottom line? Denver is looking just fine for a repeat in the AFC West and beyond...GO BRONCOS!

I guess now is the time to say I was wrong about Montee Ball twice. Once about his running and second about his creature

Always having the "opportunity" to watch the Chiefs every week, I'm hopeful that change of scenery will have Stephenson playing better than he did at KC. New scheme and leadership might help, if not hate it as the first move in FA.

Elway is the face of the FO but you have to give it up to Sullivan for getting the players in at the teams number. I feel that Heckert and Russell are doing outstanding work behind the scenes. JMFE gets the credit but these guys are putting him in the position to succeed.

The longer this drags on and the higher the contracts go, I'm starting to wonder if we don't go QB in the first. They learned the lesson with Oz that a fifth year option would have prevented the situation we're in now.

Thanks Icky! Ute the server was jacked up when I drifted in yesterday. Maintenance can interfere with stuff, but its got to be done. I need to bite my tongue while visiting, but I gotta say Mack is no ones poor man anything. I think the young man has unreal potential and I am totally shocked by him physical abilities when I watch him doing drills with the DBs the guy is really something to watch. I like that he is very humble and keeps his mouth shut and lets his play speak for him. Baseball player in OC Mike Trout is the same way.
Anyway, I don't mean to keep appearing to self promote over here and need to follow Mack's style and just sthu.

Mack is a stud. No question about that at all. As far as the server maintenance I have no idea. I have nothing to do with the site upkeep.

Morning Joe! I think you were directing this at my post about Mack-Irvin being a poor man's Miller-Ware/Barrett. I meant no disrespect to Mack at all. He is a very talented player and, as you point out, does things the right way. I am a huge fan of his 14 weeks out of the season! I think he and Miller will battle to be the league's sack leader for a long time. That said and in my opinion, the overall pass rush advantage goes to Denver...which is why I used the 'poor man's...' term.

Bottom line? Oakland is trending up and I'm excited to see them finish in second place in the AFC West going forward!

Here is some info on QB draft prospects for you all to peruse at your leisure. I like Lynch with Prescott as my second choice, before and after reading this

I like Connor Cook. Maybe it's the name Connor(Shaw). Just kidding Cook plays in an up temple offense and had to make fast decisions. I'm thinking if he gets passes Kelly at 7 then the Broncos could take him in the second round. I'm still hoping for a 3 down rb in the first

The real question is who, at pick 31, is the best player left on the board. That is who Elway will pick. The only way that doesn't happen is if Elway trades up to target someone. Given our picks positions and what it would cost, I don't see that happening.

Elway doesn't pick for need. He has always said he will take the best available player regardless of position and he has held to that. Even when he traded up, Ray was the best available at that pick.

Don't know who it will be but someone will fall. If they are on the board, you're right they'll take him. Question is who have they taken off the board for whatever reason.

This new mock draft has us taking Hackenberg at 31 instead of Cook. I think I like Cook better myself.

Yeah I was reading that Denver is still the front runner on Kap. Sounds like he will either remain in San Fran next year or be in Denver. Other options are evaporating. The 49ers are the ones running out of time and they know it. Denver can wait. I see them (49ers) flinching first if anyone does.

I think you'll see them do a deal right before April 1st. Once April 1st hits Kap's salary is guaranteed.

Not too sure this mock draft person has a clue. First he makes John look like a fool taking a QB that should be there in the fourth round. He also has teams that need QB's passing on them to take DE that the draft is full of. I can't see Cleveland trading back into the first for a QB after they pass on the best in this draft. He has the first QB coming off the board at 11 I hope he's wrong

You are right but It's the best defensive player available. He always draft defense with his # 1's will this year be different?

** "there are teams that are interested in Johnny, yeah, "The Road Graders", "The Soap Droppers" think about it, his next uniform could still be orange. Except I'm pretty sure the road grader team will look remarkably like those guys on the chain gang in "Cool Hand Luke" Except no Paul Newman, No George Kennedy, No Strother Martin. RIP. Too bad he still has the money the Browns paid him. Maybe taking away his $$$ is the solution

The smartest move Elway made this off season the Injured/retired list. My thoughts are this list give the Broncos first claims if he unretired. So my question is If he did to retire as a colt wouldn't the Broncos get compensation? If he wants to play for another team I believe we would.

I don't see it happening. Denver is just trying to make San Fran think they will move on from Kap. Elway is playing the part of the disinterested girl in an effort to get all the attention from the guy she has her eye on.
