Well that was a masterful choke job by the Falcons. I thought that pick-6 in the first half was going to pretty much seal the deal.Tom and company just chipped away at them slowly. I think the momentum shift that changed the tide was that drive the Falcons kept giving up first downs by way of defensive holding. Pats were pretty much unstoppable after that.

The Falcons seem to let off in the second half until it was too late. That sack and the the penalty when they were in field goal range that led to the punt sealed the deal. 3 points there would have pretty much saved it for them. Instead the wheels came off the cart.

** it doesn't help when you give tommy boy 15 yrds with 3 defensive holding calls on 3rd down. Any one of those leading a stop and the "miracle" catch by Edelmen doesn't happen.

Speaking of miracle catches, was anyone else singing "Me & Julio down by the schoolyard"? That man is absolutely unbelievable. What an amazing catch.
Dan Patrick says it best, "You can't stop Julio, you can only hope to contain him" I was glad to see that ATL used him as a decoy several times. They shot themselves in the foot with dumb / stupid penalties.

Here's to Orange and Blue in #52!

Julio played a great game. Dude made a few crazy catches over the course of the night. Like Ute said, the Falcons seemed to let up in the second half and the Pats took advantage of that. You can never let up on the pats, if you have them on the ropes you have to keep hitting them.

We say it every year about how few Broncos there are in the hall. There are several that deserve it. Even if all the Bronco semi-finalists got in we would still be under-represented in Canton. It will come, we should get at least 1, maybe 2 before Peyton goes in. Not sure if he will count for us though, maybe half. His football home will always be tied to Indy.

Thanks Springs, It was a lot of fun and came down to the wire. I don't blame Ute for not picking the Patsies, it just how we Broncs roll. Count on me defending both my titles next year! 8-)

It was fun and congrats to you Icky and Utah
now the offseason starts with the Steelers releasing Justin Gilbert. Not so sure we will be interested in him but that was a cap cut I'm sure.

So who else is hoping to put $5 or $10 on Denver winning the Super Bowl next season? I should be going to Vegas sometime this summer so I'll do it then haha.

Mock offseason for Denver. Includes players to resign, FA to grab and first 3 rounds of the draft.

Free agent QB's to steer clear of.

** Personally, I would add Romo to this list, given his injury history. These other guys had flashes of potential, and just like the flashbulb it burned out upon closer examination.

I for one don't understand how Geno Smith managed to stay on the Roster of the Jets, Fitz either, I mean, most QB's that are benched don't get back on the field unless their name is Manning. **

Jimmy Garoppolo is a hot commodity right now and here is what Vegas says about what he would do for a few teams

The only thing that scares me is the history of QB's that have left NE. They've all sucked so far.

Honestly that is what I have always wondered about Brady. I'm not saying he isn't good, he has proven over the years he can play. You don't just skate to 7 Super Bowls, winning 5. But how much of it is the Patriot system/way and Belichick?

My question is and always has been "If you are so good, why cheat?"
There is no doubt in my opinion that Brady would not be the crybaby, cheating, future HOF'er without hoodie or the system. Think about it, send Cry-brady over to Cleveland and see what happens with mediocre talent and substandard support by ownership.

Mr. Cry Baby is a product of a system that he has absolute mastery over, Imagine Peyton, with the same level of support during his early years, Do you think his arm strength would have faded at 40?
there have been very few QBs that have been success beyond that barrier, maybe Tom Terrible can break that invisible barrier, much like in Star Trek, at the "end of the galaxy is an unknown expanse" We'll just have to stay tuned to our same Bronco-station and same Bronco-channel

Yeah I don't understand the cheating either. The team is obviously good in their own right. I think there is just am expectation to push the rules as far as possible and sometimes they end up on the wrong side of the line. That doesn't make it right or justify it, but that is the culture in NE. Always looking for that additional little edge.
