I'm not sure, Ute, but if my memory serves me right, it's possible that Keeping the Peace has the old records from the days we were QBD. It was quite a lengthy period that I was under that particular publisher's thumb. I believe 'Quarterback's Demons' was published in 2006 or 7. It was just about 3 years or so that Switzerland's flag flew on that site. Then another publisher read the book and contacted my agent about me updating the novel, changing the name to go with the update, and go paperback and Kindle. I was especially happy that my novel had a second chance because the original publisher really screwed the pooch on QBD from the get-go. It turned out that the publisher and I knew each other from way back in high school, and it was agreed that I could have my own website as well as being listed on the publisher's website. The best part was (I thought) that I could adapt the Swiss flag to my new website and carry complete control of anything that had to do with my website and Switzerland.

It was good to be able to add pictures--many of them from the Diva Weekend and even more importantly, have a tab for my own personal war, Arachnoiditis.

So, even though you didn't ask, you got a bit of the behind-the-scenes "whatever happened" news. I shall step down from my soapbox now, and thank you again for being here from the very beginning. You're one of my stars! <3

BTW--I just read through my last post and realized it made it seem as though I had simply dismissed my first publisher to take a better deal--NOT AT ALL! My first publisher had a problem living up to the terms of my contract--probably the complete lack of promoting the book (which was hardcover) had something to do with it, but apparently they weren't doing much better for any of the authors they published. I know this because they bankrupted out and turned all the remaining books over to the Federal Court. That happened quite a while before I heard from my agent about the new offer. THE QUARTERBACK'S DEMONS is still sold at Amazon, Barnes and Noble (online) and I've seen it offered occasionally elsewhere. Pisses me off because I've never seen a penny in royalties from the beginning, and clearly never will. So it was all legitimate (sort of--no one got screwed but me)! That's my story and I'm sticking to it... :D

I'm going to buy your new book. I still have your original book you signed btw. You also have a package heading your way I've been meaning to send for years and haven't.

My daughter gets here in a little over two weeks and I have all of the carpet cleaned but the stairs. I have to pick up half a beef in the next couple of weeks in Idaho as well. They'll tell me when it's ready. Between that and being swamped at work I rarely have time to screw around lately...lol I bought a cool drone to try to fly a month ago and it's still in the box...lol. Too rainy this weekend so maybe next weekend I can see if I can fly the thing. I didn't do so well with remote control helicopters. I have 500 dollars of wreckage left over from trying that. They say this thing is easy to fly....we'll see next weekend I guess....lol...... :?

Good evening ChiefGuy. Glad you posted, because I was trying to figure out where that came from too. Kicksie is one of the friendliest guys in Switzerland, and I think it's right kindly of you to be so welcoming to him.

For the most part, I post mainly on my Dolphins' page and of course, at the Switzerland Forum. I have, however, been hanging out at each page that shows as active so I can learn the names of the new Swiss Family members and the teams they are associated with as well. It's time consuming because there was a major influx in March and April, so I'm doing more reading everywhere than posting anywhere. Glad to have you in the family though, and enjoy yourself!

Thanks Chiefguy. Sportsdog and I talked on a PM. It was a misunderstanding. Sometimes in print things can be read the wrong way.

It's all good.

I'm extremely pleased that whatever the misunderstanding was, it's not anymore. Glad you were able to work things out (kicks and sportsdog). My ulcer has already calmed down. :D
Utah: My hubby, in addition to building and flying RVs, was an avid radio control builder and flyer. He said it was easier to fly real planes than it was to fly the RCs! He made some magnificent planes, but that sport was SO costly! He'd put hours, days, weeks and months building those planes and then faster than a blink of the eye and it was gone. He recently got back into the RVs because he sold his plane (an RV9) and was missing it too much.He also got a kayack--which to date has looked magnificent standing up behind The Manor, but has yet to touch water, lol. He also got back into his guitar playing and got a couple of extra guitars. Do you think maybe he's a teensy weensy bit ADD? Ii won't even mention his newest fascination--guns. I didn't say that out loud did I? :? All that and he still works 5 days a week in his dental practice. It really cuts into his time for all his hobbies.

Have a great day Bronco fans, and thanks for choosing to post in Switzerland!!!

I bought this drone ready to go out of the box, ck. I've built RC planes before but these things now days are too high tech. Hopefully I don't crash the thing right out of the gate. :?

Morning everyone...just under 3 1/2 days until the draft. I'm torn, but would be happy with Cameron Erving or Stephone Anthony at this point.

Anyone have predictions for trades? The link between Wisenhunt and Rivers is tough to ignore for me. It would be a huge trade, but I can see Tennessee trading the #2 overall pick to San Diego for Rivers, the #19 overall, and a conditional pick next year.

Cry me a Rivers has stated that he will not move to Los Angeles. He seems pretty solid on this. I think he goes to the Titans for Mariota. Now, Chip from the Eagles may have something up his sleeve. Should be interesting.

...anything that brings the Rivers to Denver in 2016 rumors to a grinding halt is good with me. I love the Broncos, but I don't think I could ever stomach Rivers in blue and orange. I would seriously have to stop watching until he was gone.
