The ref that got creamed in our game yesterday is pretty banged up. I thought he just got his bell rung at first, then I heard he busted his collar bone. Report today says, " he also has busted ribs and a collapsed lung." Hope he has a speedy recovery. Suggs out for the year with an ACL tear. Hate to see that with anybody. Tough game !

4 offensive snaps...3 pass plays and 1 run. Norwood had 51, Caldwell had 14. Hope we aren't seeing another 2nd round bust in the making

Me also My son and Cody are friends well I should say My son and Cody's brother are friends but he lives with Cody . I was hoping for a big season from him . He doesn't get along with Peyton. The way I hear it is Peyton doesn't like him and Cody can't do anything right as far as Manning thinks. Manning yelled at Cody when a linebacker wouldn't let him get up field on a play Manning yelled you're suppose to be up field. Cody said he did it in front of the stadium when he does that to others in the huddle. The Backer was holding him. Could be why I'm on Peyton too Cody plays well with Brock can't see why Manning doesn't want him in when he plays. Not talking bad about Manning just can't understand how Cody runs the right routes with one QB and not the other

Manning can be too rigid...get on his bad side and he'll freeze you out.

It does seem like Cody is getting a bad rap around here. I have not seen him play much but he seems like a good WR to me. If Manning does have it out for him I hope they hug it out. He at least would be a good confusion piece on the field at this point.

Could also just be that Kubes has no confidence in Manning's ability to take advantage of Cody's downfield abilities...Norwood presents more opportunities for the quick-strike plays. I have no problem with a dink and dunk passing strategy, but we have to be able then to take advantage of the times that our speedy receivers are able to get behind a defense caught off-guard. Without the PA deep ball, teams will just crowd those underneath zones and running lanes.

I remember last year after a handful of games, the media and a lot of fans were ready to replace Brady. Hmmm... I wonder how last season ended for them?

Anybody?

Great point...the first week rarely mirrors the remaining 15+ games. I just wish he didn't look almost exactly like he did at the end of last year.

Good article here about the sack/line problems and how it affected the offense yesterday...that improvement I am pretty confident about...Mathis and the kids will get on the same page sooner, rather than later.

I think they still need time to gel. Plus the Ravens have a real good defense.

Hey guys, said this last week here and in the pickem league mail, don't forget to assign your confidence points. If you don't assign points you don't get credit for the ones you get right.

Good one but I know he has always had a weak arm the problem I have with Peyton is his legs. We need a mobile QB to run the west coast. Elway was old but he could still run the helicopter play. Peyton couldn't do that. That's all I'm saying. His legs are gone. he can't run

I am liking the rise of Norwood. Manning has always had a keen eye for Welker style slot guys. I think Norwood is killing it out there (for being a nobody) last game and the preseason. I agree, I do want to see a bomb just to pretend we have the capability to launch one (N Korea strategy). Manning almost connected with Sanders last game and if Sanders was a pinch taller (like cody) who knows. Our WR core is fine without Cody and once Manning memorizes this playbook we will be slipping in the surprise bombs like the Texans did (I hope).

Congrats on the week 1 high score Ute. Looked like TJ was gonna run away with it going into last night. I know you probably didn't stay up for the end of the late game, but I was there til the end waiting for one more 6 yard catch by Wallace to put me past you. SID was just one good run or a TD by Peterson away from taking the top spot too. Kicks took the honors in the Pick ems, I had high points assigned to both games last night and thought I would get it, too bad I had the Eagles and Vikes
P.S. Tell your son in law not to take his welcome to the league butt kickin' personally...lol

I like Manning have his jersey in white and blue. But I LOVE the Broncos. Manning was old last season week 11 until the playoff game he looked old. Say he was injured fine he was injured. Now he looks old and can't run away from being sacked because the unit has to gel. When will the fans stop looking at Manning 's play with hopes of his rejuvenating his seasons past when he could move in the pocket which he can't do now (lays down and gives himself up.) I like him just don't want his memory to be like Mays. (Willy Mays)
