How do we all think this is going to play out? In terms of play calling?

Well, until the line can start slowing down a damn pass-rush, I'm guessing we are going to keep running shotgun to help Manning stay upright.

Hard to argue with what we saw from Peyton in the no huddle hurry up...Kube's might have to give ground this year. I know can't run Kube's way. Maybe Peyton's way opens that back up

Might be time to think about using a backup OL as a TE to get better run-blocking on 1st down

I'm betting Max Garcia can do no worse than Mathis..May need to use him as back up til he wins the job instead of handing it to him

The defense put a charge in the offense tonight IMO. Manning is old the second sack he took he tried to run away han he took 3 steps that only covered 2 yards. the next sack he gave himself up and the man was yards away. But I do like seeing all the pros that picked KC eat crow on TV. Yes Manning had a good game with some bad things . If the good out number the bad all the time I can live with that. This game gave him 2 more games before I start calling for Brock. The line needs help There is a rookie center well last year on the PS , But Manning needs to see the rush before the snap and help him call the protection. Mathis said the last game would be the worst . I'm not so sure

Icky & Bigmac. I think you're both right and I am not one to argue with results. So this next long week will be an interesting one to read Hops updates and see just how close we are to pushing the big red button.

Until the line shapes up I'm thinking they'll stick with the hurry up and pistol offense. Kubiak was brought here to win games, not experiment .

Wow!!! Spotted em 14 points and still closed the deal. Good game. I don't generally post during games. It's a superstitious thing I have.

Oh and I don't care if you guys mix it up. It's a football site and a lot of things will pass here. Posting an emo of a penis won't and lets not get personal with the fag jokes. Make fun of the team but not the fans. Shindig has been around a long time. It's not Ex. I'm not here to be your dad. Have fun but use good judgment.

2-0. Go Broncos!!!

I think it had everyone wound up tight. Most of the other sports sites would delete everything that was posted. Hide the evidence. I'm hoping the mods leave it up as a reminder of how not to act. Everyone loves their team. Hate on the Chiefs all you want. Just not the fans.

Icky is a good guy. He's tense. I'll send him over a masseuse.. Happy endings cost extra.

Beginning of the game was horrible. Then something clicked and Manning took off. Heeeee's back!!!!

Ok, I will say something stupid like Ex would say.

Hey, we have twice as many wins as any other team in the NFL.

I actually wasn't hating on the team or anyone until all hell broke out over here. I posted before the game good luck and no injuries on the Chiefs page. Then I stayed over here as usual. I don't wander around much.

Morning fellas...and a heck of a morning it is!

There's just something about smacking a division rival that makes you smile. The Chiefs are a very good team with a great defense. They are better than I thought they would be, but they're still not in the conversation. Manning is still off, the OL is not getting the job done, and Kubiak is still searching for the right balance of his offense and Manning's skill set. All that said...

DENVER STILL WON AND IS 2-0!

A couple of notes from the game...Denver passed the 87-90 49ers for most consecutive division road wins at 13. Manning eclipsed 70K yards. For the athlete that he is, Manning cannot scramble to save his life...it was painful to watch. Oh yeah, Icky got heated with some KC fans. I feel your frustration Icky, but remember, lions (Broncos?) don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

That is all.

I usually go to bed before Thursdays games are over but I couldn't leave the TV last night that game was so good. Both teams have incredibly good defenses this year.

I was watching the edge rush of the Chiefs and I'm not sure any QB could have scrambled too effectively last night. Reid had the edge covered and shot defenders up the middle. That line was bleeding red jerseys all night milliseconds after the snap.

Their defense is certainly legit...much better than I thought they would be! If their offense figures it out, they could make a push and make a little noise in the post-season. That said, as long as Alex Smith is running the show, a little noise is the best case scenario for them.

I'm 2 hours ahead of you. Think how I feel today. East coast time sucks for games. I liked it much better in that aspect out West. I'm dragging today. But its Friday!

You forgot one mile stone South. Von became the 3rd fastest to reach 50 sacks(58 games). You're right about the Lion. He eats the lamb and carries on as if the lamb never existed. I am now carrying on full belly and all. Sorry I left the bloody mess for the rest of you to see. I'll leave future slaughters for the rest of the Pride to handle.

Just an FYI, when things happen, I do a lot of behind the scenes stuff here. I have talked to a handful of people in PM's about things. I don't like to drag it on the open boards if I don't have to. I just wanted to let everyone know that. And yes, I have lectured some Bronco fans too.

Push, shove, get a little dirty. Have fun. Just watch the foul names towards other people here.

That's not too much to ask.

Good call...I did miss that! This defense isn't too bad, huh? Just think where Barrett and Ray would be on any ordinary team...and they're BACKUPS on this defense!

You bet, both would start for most teams. and how about old man Ware? Looked like a kid last night. with the back ups we have, I have a feeling he will be fresh all year. Ware tapered off towards then end last year. Our rotation is so good that Phillips trusts Ray and Shaq to be in there on crucial situations if that's where it lands during his rotations. Both were on the field on the final play against Baltimore. You could see the affect on the faces of Flacco and Smith, no chance to catch a breather.

Shout out to my Nevada homies. Both had key plays last night among many others. Virgil Green caught the long awaited touchdown from Peyton to tie the game at 14 on a nice cross wide open in the back of the end zone. Brandon Marshall poked the ball away from Charles that the Rook took to the house for the win. both made this Nevada fan proud!
I guess I shouldn't call Roby a Rook anymore, but we shouted out so many times last year,"Way to go Rook" that it kinda stuck. Maybe When I say Rook from now on, it's because he's like a Rook on a chess board, moving up and down, side to side making plays to set up the Check Mate. That's two games now that he made the final move to seal the victory

I also know he's not EX. My comment was referring to the Playoff game Colts - KC. and ex's comment when he knew the game was over. Shindig came in here to rub it in before the game was over. Like EX would. I just read back when I came over I was on our FB Page with The gang Yes I said Gang we throw up victory signs and our colors are Orange and blue. KC's offense out played ours for the first time with Smith vs Manning. But the Denver D won the game for us with the pass rush and the coaches teaching everyone to run to the ball. Roby said that . Makes you think That last season he wouldn't have been there and that ball would have been recovered by KC. Yes the line is built to move the defense and create cutback lanes. That's the Kubiak way to run his offense. They don't run those plays when Peyton is in there because he doesn't move well out side of the pocket. The running game was not the westcoast last night. The line only ran one westcoast style play and Manning rolled left and threw the ball into the dirt infront of an open DT. The offense you see is the offense that we ran last season and the seasons before. Houston still runs Kub's offense and they ran the ball well against KC the week before. Now last night we saw two Mannings The good and the bad. He just didn't have as many bad play as he did good. He over threw passes one pick six 45 pass attempts 22 running attempts Not good reminds me of the playoffs Manning and company will work on the westcoast for the next ten days and try to run it . It will save the season and may keep Peyton healthy for a playoff run. The plan is to win a SB we know we can't do it with this offense. and without some kind of running game Peyton will be a sitting duck like he has been the first two games. The pass rush has to respect the run to slow it down. That football and we all know that.Good win I think bad results because just like some of us here who got caught up in the emotions of the game. we can't forget the running game and be satisfied with regular season wins. We have a lot of them the past 3 seasons but 0 Super Bowl wins.
