I feel that this game will determine our offensive philosophy from here on out. I am concerned that we are going to run effectively using sprinkles of the Kubiak system against this weak Browns team and then think it works. If we do beat up on these little guys using hybrid Kubiaks plays, I think we will be going into the bye heading in the wrong direction. Personally I am hoping for one more game of the same so we can fully commit to the Manning system and put an end to all this silliness. Best case scenario for me is to have Manning in pistol 90% of the time so we can actually work on our real offense this week. I like the Kubiak system but we just don't have the parts for it. This game needs to mark the full retreat into Manning's game and give it one last chance with a #1 D.

This does feel like a pivotal game to me...if Manning plays well, it might give the offense the shot in the arm it needs to play with confidence and grit for this brutal stretch of games coming up...if he bombs, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes down with a mysterious "injury" that forces Oz into the driver's seat after the bye. A phantom injury would allow Kubes to see what Oz brings to the table, but keeps the door open for Manning to return if Oz struggles.

'Course, the most likely scenario is that the running game continues to grind out 2-4 yard carries, Manning uses the dink-n-dunk passing attack to get just close enough to kick 13 long-ass field goals (thank god for McManimal), but makes 2-3 head-scratching throws that keep Cleveland in the game till the end. Defense makes the difference, and the hand wringing continues...yay.

It's kinda disconcerting, ain't it? Our QB play and offense aren't good enough to feel truly exuberant and confident, yet our defense and record keeps away the satisfying smugness of righteous indignation. A little too close to the experience of real life, in my opinion.

not sure we have the linemen to use it. besides Kubiak wants Manning to use his offense more and when he did use it this game they moved the ball Manning hit 2 roll outs to the right.

Pressure did NOT cause that miss. Manning DID. I have been biting my toungue and holding out hope, but i am with Hop. Manning looks like shit and I'm sure OZ could do much better. Hell, Siemian could too for that matter
