Kubiak works, he already knows the system

You want Elway to be his back up QB? :P

Great idea!

Aren't you glad the Phillip Rivers to Denver rumor has be dispelled. That would be almost as bad as Josh McDickhead being our coach...lol.

Wouldn't want Cry Me a Rivers here. Already had Josh. What a turd coach. Still think he was on the Pats payroll when he worked here and was out to ruin this team. I can't wait for the day someone writes a tell all on all the ways the Pats have cheated over the years. Bet that book would weigh 50 pounds.

I think the Browns have what it takes to get the number one pick. The team, the fans, and the front office believe this is their year and they have the QB to carry them to the top pick.

So instead of my normal notes I would like to take a minute to examine the soft ass play of our receivers.
Latimer: Bobbled an easy end around play and ran into his own blockers (twice!). He seemed to not know the plays well this game too.
Davis: Kept running backwards like he was Barry Sanders and dropped a game winning (maybe) gimme pass. He needs to shed that SF silliness and bull forward.
DT: Dropping every contended pass and always taking his eyes off the ball (to check his stack of money piled on the sideline). AND fumbling due to not protecting the ball. $eriously?
Sanders: Muffing a punt and giving up on a long bomb too early. He dives for passes he doesn't need to but won't dive at plays that actually require it?
Norwood: Was set up as a blocker? Really? I get being unpredictable but come on. Not only he is 100lbs but he didn't try to block on the pitch plays.
Daniels: Almost gave up an interception when he elected to not try to catch a good pass because he was going to be blown up. He's been tough all season but this game he acted like he didn't want to get hurt.

Another thing I absolutely hate to see is receivers whining for penalties. That is some weak sauce Eric Decker behavior. We should be the bullies out there not the ones crying to the teacher. Its a bad habit to have and breeds soft play like we had in the superbowl loss.

Overall this was a horrible performance by the receiving core and hopefully this will be the end of it. We have a very talented team we just need to develop some toughness and nastiness. I have seen them play with toughness in several games but they took this last game off. I think Kubes will see to it they get their fighter spirit back but man this game was hard to watch.

I may just delete that loss from my memory all together. It was just odd to see so many issues coming from one department. I don't think there's anything wrong with the WRs but it was odd that they all were way off their game. I think this will end up being a one-of-those-days outliers but I will keep a stern eye on our WRS this upcoming game.

Honestly we have seen these problems building for several weeks now. It seems like the have slowly been getting worse and kind of came to a head last weekend. I hope that was a bad as it gets. Oz did pretty well considering he was running for his life behind probably one of the worse o-lines in the league and his receivers couldn't catch the ball.

I like the confidence of the Defense. They plan to shut down the Pits offense that has been rolling the past few weeks. Denver D hasn't surrendered a 300 yard pass game or 30 points all year. Now if the offense could just get more consistent and give the D a break.

I have no expectations for this O line. Personally I am just happy when they show up on the field wearing the same uniform. However I do expect a lot more out of our receivers. I think we have some studs in DT and Sanders. Our sad O line is the result of football being a salary cap sport and I have given up hoping they will get better. At this point I think we just roll with what we got.

** I would agree,
also I suspect anybody that is truly worth a look is on someones roster with a BIG inflated you aint produced nothing lately contract that we cannot afford to absorb.
As far as the Raiders game, I have seen less professional play @ roller derby, for crying out loud can anyone catch the football? What is up with getting 1st Downs? I thought along with scoring 1st downs were important. I mean really, if you have the ball the other guy doesn't, what is so hard with that? The kids down the street play "Keep away" with cars

Our D was amazing last game. Since you brought up first downs, I had to look it up. The Raiders had eight (yes eight) first downs!?! All our offense needs to do is not screw up and let this defense break people. I agree that all we need is an offense that can get first downs and play keep away. We have a Dominate defense that will shut down anyone if they are not put in a lousey situation. Even if we don't score TDs on drives, if we kick field goals we still make the other team drive the full length of the field on the #1 defense. I think a so-so offense with this Defense will win every game given no turnovers. This defense held its own against Rogers, Rivers, Brady, and Luck. Those were all top offenses at one point. No turnovers or dumb penalties = win.

We need to score 23 or more against these guys. The offense needs to do something this week Our D can't always be called on to save the day.

We will answer some questions today, Is our D good enough to stop a power house offense on the road? Is our offense able to put up enough points if our D can keep us in reach? I believe both answer will be yes, if our O can catch today. Need that to happen to sustain drives, That will keep our D fresh and the Steeler O off the field

An interesting and very rare fact. The Broncos and the Steelers is the only game on today that features two teams with a winning record.

It's on the offense. Get er done boys.

All we need is an offensive performance that loosely resembles American Football and we need this defense to keep crushing bones. I think this #1 offense is going to be in for a very long night against our pass rush. I don't care how big Ben claims to be. Our D line will make the Steelers reconsider their 7 step drop passes.
Prediction: 17 - 24 Denver and Miller & Co get 6 Big sacks.
