Unless Kap lowers his salary and the Niners lower their expectations for a draft pick, Elway will pass. Fitz is another longshot option but an expensive one so I doubt that would ever happen.
I'm terrified but we may just end up running with Sanchez.....That might be painful to watch....lol.

I think Cook will be there and if he is we take him The price on RG3 contract was 2 years 15 million Too much for him I think But that alone will out price Fitz.

I like Sanchez as good or better than him actually.
OnlyInUtah wrote:I would like to see us somehow weasel Carson Wentz or Conner Cook in the draft. Even Kap is a big gamble. Rumor is Denver took a pass on RGIII because of concerns about his character. And Fitzgerald wants twice what he's worth. Pretty shitty options at QB out in free agency this year.

** That would be great, don't see it happening, what is worse is SF standing pat with Kap on 4/1. We'll really be strapped with butt fumble and Siemans (sp) I know JE usually has an ace up his sleeve it looks like were going have a 6 & 8 showing.
SouthStands wrote:I love all the talk about Demaryius Thomas and how terrible he (and his contract) is. How can Denver fans ignore what Thomas has done since his arrival in Denver? Despite terrible QB play this season, DT still went over 100 receptions and 1,300 yards. Yes, he does have some untimely drops, but he's still hovering around a 5% drop rate (compares to Brandon Marshall for reference). He's one of the best WRs in the game and what he does for the running game cannot be ignored.
...now all that said, I'm not a fan of paying any skill guy tons of money. I didn't want Denver to overspend to keep him, but I'm fine with the deal Denver has with him. Both he and Sanders will excel in Kubiak's system with a QB that actually fits the scheme.
Speaking of that, I am probably in a minority here, but I like the Sanchez deal. Dude is a very capable QB that can manage a game. He's athletic enough to keep a play alive and at this point of his career, he gets what his role is. When he was drafted by the Jets, he was supposed to be a savior. Took them to the AFC Championship game in his first two years too. Here's the thing though, Sanchez isn't an Elway. He can't put a team on his back and go win a football game for you. That said, he can absolutely make the correct reads, hand the ball off, and manage a game for you. In other words, he fits perfectly in a Gary Kubiak offense. Is he the long term solution? Not at all. But I do think Denver can win the AFC West and make some noise in the playoffs with him at the helm. With Denver's defense returning 9 starters and their running game operating correctly, the QB position needs to be competent. Sanchez can do that.
So who's my fit for Denver? Dak Prescott. It's been explained on multiple sites multiple times, so I won't bore you with why, but he's the guy I want Denver to go get. Let Sanchez start this year and see how quickly Prescott progresses. If the kid is ready this year, great. Give him the keys. If not, develop him for a year and roll him out for the 2017-2018 season. Sanchez would be moved to veteran backup, and Denver would be in great shape.
...anyways, that's my two cents...

Most of the rest of the stars on this team earn the title. DT may be second but if you look at his career as a whole for us he has done pretty good. Much better than Dez Bryant who we could've taken with that pick.

** It's almost like those old "Shake & Bake commercials "And I helped" the child telling Nana about the chicken or pork chops that were done with the product. (No insult intended toward the child of course)
