Don't sleep on Karl Joseph though. Late regular season & playoffs show that we need the depth. Dude can hang with the Gronk's of the world, especially by Week 16

I'm lovin' me some Joseph at 31 Yi. If Lynch doesn't fall to a reachable trade up spot, I think that's where we should go. Nkimdeche wouldn't hurt my feelings, but I think he goes top 15.

I'm all for not trading for Kaepernick. Again, I'll defer to Elway/Kubiak, but I think Denver is better off without the circus. Go to work with people that want to be here. Kapernick didn't want to restructure. That tells me he's about the money, not the team.
SouthStands wrote:No final mock for me, but here's what I'd like Denver to do:
Round 1 - Robert Nkemdiche (DL-Ole' Miss)
I'm a huge fan of what I think Nkemdiche can become in Phillips' defense under Kollar's coaching. He is a risk though. I think Denver's locker room is solid and will allow this kid to reach his potential. I'm serious about the JJ Watt comparisons.
Round 2 - Dak Prescott (QB-Mississippi State)
Described as a raw version of Donovan McNabb and a guy that Kubiak reportedly loves. Let him sit behind Sanchez for a year and then give him the keys.
Round 3 - Jaylon Smith (LB-Notre Dame)
Would you trade a 3rd Round pick this year for a 1st Round pick next year? Me too. That's what this pick is. Smith can take over for Marshall or play next to him in a year. Comparisons to Navorro Bowman seem accurate.
Round 3 - Connor McGovern (OG-Missouri)
The interior OL needs depth with Garcia far from a certainly. McGovern could be a plug and play OG for Dennison.
Round 4 - Rashard Robinson - CB - LSU
Great press skills on the outside. Great size/speed for the position as well. Denver is going to need to find Talib's replacement and I think Robinson can absolutely be that guy.
Round 5 - Tyvis Powell - FS - Ohio State
Good kid, hard worker, good skill set, solid vs. run and pass. Special Teams from day one, taking over for Stewart in the not-so-distant future.
Round 5 - Tyler Higbee - TE - Western Kentucky
Great size/speed for the position. Converted WR, so he runs routes well. Very solid blocker as well. Not going to pancake anyone necessarily, but will get his hat on someone and stay in front of them.
Round 6 - Mike Thomas (WR-Southern Mississippi)
Hardest working guy on the field. Not a burner necessarily, but is explosive after the catch. Wins 1-1 matchups with his body control. Needs to get better on the LOS as press corners can get into him a bit.
Round 7 - Peyton Barber - RB - Auburn
Shot in the dark here...read a report that Denver is high on Barber at the end of the draft. Denver could use a RB too, so why not.
Round 7 - Max McCaffrey - WR - Duke
...because nobody in Denver would consider a McCaffrey as Mr. Irrelevant.
5 UDFAs...why not, right?
Josh Forrest - LB - Kentucky - Has a Kentucky LB ever NOT worked out for Denver?
Quinton Jefferson - DL - Maryland
Trevon Coley - DL - Florida Atlantic
Andy Janovich - FB - Nebraska
Drew Kaser - P - Texas A&M

I wanted to say this but figured I would be the one accused of wearing the tin foil hat - HA
