I agree....the new "Peyton Manning" rule , as they are calling it, really sucks. He has worked with alot of these guys for 8-10 years on perfecting this and now its gonna be hard for them to use it. If they decide to keep it hopefully the players will get a better feel for it as the season goes on.

I didn't join any league this year. My job has went from bad to worse.....I never know when I can get a minute to blog, or even when I'm going to be at my 'puter. I have a fairly new computer at home, but I'm usually so busy there that when I do get a few minutes I'm catching up on the news......then I sleep. I'm finding that sleep is more precious the older I get.

I don't know how people find time for fantasy football. You would have to study the players, their teammates (as in a quarterback and wide receiver combo, for instance), the specific strengths of their opponents, etc, etc. Who has time for that? Given the success of my other predictions, I'd do as well making picks based on how well I like their uniform colors.

Correct, Ped! I must say, however, when the heat is this bad, it's awfully tempting to stay home and watch the game on television. It's still in the 90s and will be till 7 or 8. Game starts at 7. If it is too overwhelming we can always leave at half-time and catch the second half on the big screen. Nice post, Lady!

This weekend the Cowboys come into Houston to try to embarrass the Texans in their own house. We play them twice this year, both times in Houston.

It looks to me like the Texans were a lot more ready for this game than the Cowboys. It will be interesting to see what sort of adjustments the Cowboys make at half time. Do you think that Wade gave them a halftime speech?

i think...by looking at the way uncle jerry was abusing his water bottle...that wade got an earful at halftime...

I was really surprised that the Cowboys looked so ill prepared. They looked like they hadn't been practicing. They have the more talented team, but they often acted confused. Our first team defense shut them out. If I were Jerry Jones I wouldn't be pleased either.
