That was sad to hear about Blanda. Thanks for the pic Tenn10. Thank you very much for the pictures of the old gang. I said thank you but wasn't sure if you saw it. I saved it to my computer. I never thought I would see it again after old Swiss was shut down. Congrats on your win over my lowly Broncos as well. :D

Did anybody ever play football longer than George Blanda? He played the length of a full career each with three different teams. One of his secrets was that he never got sacked. If nobody was open he had the ball thrown out of bounds before the defense could get there. Of course his career was extended because he could still make it as a placekicker.

Kicks.....good to see you old friend. Whats weird is that day I was going through a lot of old pics on my puter and ran across it. Then I logged in here and see that you were back and so I posted it. It brought back some good memories from a couple years ago. Thanks for the congratulations........our run game still sucks though. I thought your coach made some bad play calling on those 4th downs or we might be singing a different tune today

Em I think Blanda was 46 when he finally gave it up.....that is crazy......and he was still being effective as a kicker

Yes! That was when I moved from Sedona just over two years ago. Probably around April or May of 2008 and everyone wore the dog avs to welcome me back. You really brought back a flood of memories. A lot has changed since then.

I was surprised at all of the mistakes the Packers made. They cost them the game.

Ugh!! Another reason to HATE FUXSports. A headline on the home MSN page that says "NFL's Most Unappreciated Team" and its about the f***ing Pittsburgh Steelers.

Seriously!! Who do they think they are kidding? It's ALL ABOUT THE STEELERS for cripes sake. They're #1 in the Power Rankings (which is all subjective garbage really) and being touted as the team to go to the Super Bowl for the AFC.Talk about nauseating.

Teams like the Seahawks and Miami are like passed right over when they are doing analyses before and after the games! I get soooo frustrated. Going from station to station trying to get some news about the Fins! I can't believe that headline though--how do they write that stuff with a straight face? Or maybe their tongues are tucked tightly into their cheeks and they're goofing with everyone....

Oh yeah... watching Sunday's highlights last night during half time...they freaking practically break down the ENTIRE COWBOYS' game quarter by quarter...and show nothing of other games. And the Seahawks game on Sunday...analyses wasn't about their victory, but how poorly the Chargers played. LOL!!

I was too bummed to even watch anything about our Sunday night fiasco. There were 3 HORRIBLE calls against the Dolphins. Two were not challenge-able--one was. It was clear on the big screen replay that we were right on the 2 we couldn't challenge; the other was the "fumble" by Ricky, which was not a fumble at all, and thank goodness we could get it reviewed, These referee f**k-ups are costing teams games, and we see them in almost every game each week! I'm not saying we would have won (between the lousy play calling and the lack of offense  ), but it went to state of mind, and we all know what happens when a team starts to doubt.

When you start to feel like you aren't playing another team, but you're playing against the officials on the field, it is very frustrating indeed. Super Bowl 40 ring a bell? LOL We still shoulda been good enough to overcome all that BS and win it. Grrr... (kicks dirt)

The NFL's "New Rules" are destroying the game. As soon as it starts moving and the crowd gets involved there's either a penalty, a "perceived" penalty, an official's time out or a commercial break. The games are getting longer and longer and longer! Shoot--during some of those "reviews" by the officials, I could take a drive in the country, come back, park and walk all the way to my seats--and be back in time to catch the results. We can see it immediately on the big screen and they're still over there having coffee and donuts!

Oh brother...the "False starts" by offenses or "illegal snaps" penalties seem to be on the rise. It's truly ridiculous. And yeah...when I was at a pre-season game of the Seahawks-Packers, there were TONS of penalties and the refs took so long, I yelled out if they needed coffee and water service for their conference. Sheesh!!
