Max Garcia running with the first team at LG and to start Friday...I thought Shelley Smith or Garland would get the nod based on experience. That in itself says good things about Max

Wow! I stand corrected on Enemkpali. Leave it to Rex I guess. I think that was a big F U to the Jets. I don't think anyone else would have touched him. Gotta love Rex. He has cajones.

Oh and thanks for the info Icky. A few surprises for sure.

Not only was it a dig at the Jets, but the Bills need depth at OLB and Enemkpali has been doing real well in camp. Plus I think Geno Smith tends to pick shit he can't back up. Both Revis and Bowles stated both were at fault but Enemkpali threw the punch. My guess is Smith will not last past this year on the Jets team. He's high maintenance and not very good.

It's been a spell since the Jets had a decent QB. I'm with you, Utah. I don't think Geno is the answer.

Hello Broncos Country! Hope all has been well with you all. I have recently awakened from my slumber and I am ready for another great Broncos (forum) season. I went to the Broncos training camp this last week and it was a blast. The new digs in Aurora are very fan friendly (highly recommend it). Broncos talk: Hard to get any meaningful info from plain Jane training camp but the offensive walk throughs have been interesting to watch. They do have a top secret hybrid zone blocking scheme in the works. It is not the Jake the Snake offense but rather a version of the Texans offense that somewhat makes a pocket for Manning at times. Almost like a fake zone blocking pull forming into a pocket (hard to describe). *I have a lot of pent up Broncos talk so bear with me*. So here are some 50,000 ft level observations 1) Defense looks amazing. 2) Kickers have me a little worried 3) "Full back" is the name of a football position 4) Our secondary seems to have a bad attitude growing 5) Coach Kubiak can form meaningful sentences with substance 6) Kick returner will be a fun roster spot to watch. Of course every one is talking about the O line so I thought I would chime in. The system they appear to be working towards is more focused on trickery than holding their ground like last year. I think because of that they will exceed expectations this year. Plus Manning's quick trigger will bail them out. So there's my incoherent intro rant. More to follow----FOOTBALL!!!

Good stuff SID, thanks for sharing and good seeing you back. Ute has the FFL going again and Springs got the pickem league up too. I plan on getting back there next year to check out camp, and after hearing about your experience I can hardly wait.

Training camp sounds like a blast. I will have to make an entire West trip one of these days. Go to Denver for camp, head to Reno for Hot August Nights and then back to Arizona and California to see my old stomping grounds there too.

Just e-mail me the new e-mail address or message me here and I'll send an invite out from Yahoo. That will fill the league so I can set the league and schedule the live draft.

Springs has the pickem info. If you scroll back a page or so you'll see it.

Can't wait for kick-off, even if it is only a preseason game and it sounds like many key starters wont even play a series! The regular season is getting closer and closer! Can't wait to see our D in action.

Anyways, here is the info again for the yahoo pickem league. Everyone is welcome to join.

Hard to really tell from just the game trax on fox but Brock seems to be moving the unit downfield. Just need to get TDs instead of FGs.

Brock looks very good and poised...O-line doing well, run and pass. Beautiful seam to Virgil for the TD. :D

Icky Takes from Pre Season Game #1
Mcmanus looked pretty good and it might be all she wrote for chicken legged Barth
We are deep and fierce on the edge rushers, Miller, Ray, and Barrett owned the Seattle Tackles.
We won't be missing Wolfe too much the way Anunike played
Malik is Malik and he is just plain nasty
I see why we have Max Garcia with the first team, he was a pancake factory. Ben, not so much
Kilgo can play anywhere up front, and flat out bullies O-lineman
There were times I thought Fox was back to haunt us. Kubes seemed a bit conservative
Brock looked very poised and played a very solid game
Ball does not impress me at all and may be behind Hillman after last night
Juwan looked like a fullback last night. he was slow and hesitant
Latimer is gonna help this team this year
Yes Virgil Green can run crisp routes and will give LBs and Safeties fits
Peyton's forehead was the happiest about him being in street clothes
hope I didn't steal your thunder Southy, I always wanted to do one of your lists

Good stuff man. While drinking my beer I found myself rooting for Oswieler, Hillman, and McManus and I thought "this can't be right?..can it?" Who knows with preseason but I am still skeptical on the three of them. I also think once Von Miller came flying in on the first snap the coaching staff went into "reconsider" mode. I will be holding a condescending view of the three of them but I think somewhere in the deepest darkest parts of my mind I think there may be hope for them*.
*If they all got traded tomorrow I am still not losing any sleep.

Here are my standard issue notes from the Brock wins the SpooferBowl game:
Von Miller looks like he is being blocked by poorly stuffed scarecrows.
McManus' 52 yard kick to Barth's short kick off has him in complete control.
Ronnie Hillman's fangs on his mouth piece was adorable.
I thought the disabled guy in the Arrow commercials was Chip Kelly.
Virgil Green looked like he had TD dance in mind but then thought "nah...better save it"
The back up Seattle QB sure walked with a lot of swagger for sucking that bad.
Standard heroes: Barrett, Ray, Hillman and the ref who tackled the SEA coach on the sideline.
Bubba Caldwell's weak sauce drop and the rise of Latimer may have Bubba finally packing.
The Broncos may want to consider a help wanted add for punt returner.
Oswielier *hands shaking* looked *takes a drink of whiskey* like *brains starts to hemorage* he *looks away from screen* improved. -There I wrote it and lets never speak of it again.
Kilgo is great name for nose tackle.
