Wow, I figured Evan Mathis already signed somewhere else...This could be Denver's best acquisition of the offseason!!! Here are his PFF grades for the past 4 years
2014: 2nd (rank among qualifying guards), 25 (overall grade), 7.5 (pass blocking), 17 (run blocking)
2013: 1st; 48; 4; 42
2012: 1st; 52; 14; 33
2011: 1st; 41; 11; 26
The dude is no spring chicken and I have no idea whether he's a zone blocker, but he is a proven stud at a position of NEED

I concur, Icky...Marshall jumped off the screen against the Texans, and Hillman looks like a perfect fit in Kube's run game...he and CJ might revive the thunder and lightning magic that we enjoyed when Mike Anderson split carries with Tatum Bell.

In 2005 (Kube's last season as OC), Anderson rushed for 1014 yards and 12 TDs (4.2 YPC), while Bell surpassed all understandably low expectations to rattle off 921 yds and 8 TDs (5.3 YPC...impressive!)...With a run blocking dynamo like Mathis clearing out holes, I don't think similar rushing success is out of the realm of possibility.

So you're telling me I need to get comfortable with McManus lining up to kick a 45 yard, game winning FG?
Ok...I'm still not buying a McManus jersey, but he is doing a better job with FGs and he's always been able to kick-off. I'll get on board...albeit begrudgingly.

We need to run the score up and keep it up and not put ourselves in that situation. That slow down, we got the lead, attitude hopefully left with the dumb ass coaches from last season.

I agree kicks...the coaching staff from last year created some issues that Denver shouldn't have had to deal with. I don't see the same issues with Kubiak as I saw with Fox.
...and I agree Utah...McAnus certainly seemed to fit last year!

Icky's condensed version of today's pertinent posts Gone are the days of the play not to lose ways.Elway continues to dazzle with a changing of the Guard and by opting for a McAnus with cheese over chicken legs.

I will say that's fairly accurate, poor Raiders still can't get any love though

After further review, these ratings are actually, pretty whacked. Several teams are too low. The Colts are top 5 atleast, and the Chargers and Chiefs should be at the top of the second ten. But hey, what do I know

Pre season power poll. I won't argue with it yet. I wouldn't mind seeing #1 fall to #2 in the last game of the season.

I just thought I'd point out a little change in the user rankings title.
The current rank name will fall into one of these categories:
Rookie = 1-499
Veteran = 500-999
Starter = 1000-2499
MVP = 2500-4999
Hall of Fame 5000
I now return you to your regularly scheduled programs...
