I remember coming away from the last preseason thinking that Oz made some pretty good throws on the run...now, his pocket throwing has caught up

This defense will keep us in games so even with the growing pains we will be ok.

Call me a homer, but I think there is a chance our backup defense is better than a few starting Ds in this league!

They are finally playing with that edge we've searching for throughout the Fox/Del Rio era...I guess they are just the type of team that needs an aggressive scheme to bring out that snarl

Yep. And a 3-4 adds to it. A 4-3 is fine if you have the personel. We didn't under Del Rio. A 3-4 lets you use existing talent better. Plus Wade is a linebacker kind of guy. Unless you have at least three or four dominant players in a 4-3....you don't have shit. We have hybrids.....stack them up at linebacker and let them loose.

I just hope the second string players that we place on the field 1st game will be ok. That game I thought we'd win but not so much now. It will be a fight

I don't know Hop. We're pretty stacked on defense this year.

Wow, ball down to 1.9 yards per carry this game...what the fox happened to him since the second half of his rookie year?

Looks bad but no blocking he's getting hit as soon as he touches the ball Bibbs is faster and can get outside better so the cutback lanes open up because the defense tries to get out there to cut him off. He may be the better back for this offense now but I think Ball will make himself known elsewhere.

Bucs released Barth after McMissem did his thing from 51 yards last night do the Broncos go after Connor again?

Averaged over 5 sacks a game this preseason. That includes one sack every game from the nose.
Can you say FIERCE ?
This might be the best 8 linebackers on one team ever. I feel kind of silly for saying "might be".

My analysis
There are two that played last night that have to make this team Shaquil Barrett and Josh Bush. Both were all over the place. Shaq lead the team in tackles He was credited with 6 but I think he was in on more then that one ast he was given. Bush also had 6 with 1 ast. Shaq had 2 sacks and one pass defense. Good games for both. Bibbs beat out Ball point blank. If they trade ball we all know why If they keep him instead of Bibbs it will be his being drafted 2nd and Bibbs being undrafted. That will be on Elway, This coaching staff wasn't here. Brock played well even though they only averaged 2.52 yards per play and the big play at the beginning boost that average. after that play the offense only picked up 53 yards by air and ground. Not a great showing The Cardinals out played us. more yards from scrimmage more passing and rushing . The rushing tell the story 108 to 49.Third down Eff, 5-16 not good at all. Yes all second a third teamers will come out of this game but we should have won this game at the end and we played like crap. Bruse and Fowler both had some nice moments. T. Carter is injured so maybe the IR will keep him on the sidelines in Streets. They have to carry 3 QB or Siemian will not clear waivers IMO.

I'm gonna just lay it out there...Bubba doesn't get enough credit. every time people call for his head, he goes out and kills it. Ball gets way to much credit, every time he gets a chance to prove himself, he comes up short. I'd like to think Ball is decent trade bait, but we won't get a good pick from any team based on his performance, let alone a good player.

the funniest thing I heard in the post game interviews, was Barrett saying," I hope i did enough to make this team". Shaq baby, not only did you make the team, you increased your playing time two fold by your performance so far. I think we are gonna see a lot of rotation on the edges, keeping Ware, Miller, Ray, and Barrett fresh and ears pinned back all game every game

I agree the only thing with Caldwell is what has he done on ST. yes he caught the ball well but that 4th and 5th receiver has to play ST. That could be the decision that hurts him or trades him.

-- I think Montee's ride is over. It looks like he is afraid to hit the hole. When he was a rookie he just slammed it right in
and now he is hesitating. Wasn't he hurt or something because he is playing like he doesn't want to get hit. While everyone else is looking to keep their position, Montee appears to have learned the FOX method of playing not to lose it.

Have a great holiday weekend. Be safe and enjoy!

Brock looked good. Hard to ever evaluate the last preseason game. Although for some, it means a job or unemployment. Defense is a monster!!!

Always good to see ya Rich. Happy holiday as well.
