Great weekend for me. We beat the raiders, Nevada won, My FF money team is Killing it, My FF team here is Killing it, 10-2 in Pick'em league so far, Venison for dinner, and New Walking Dead tonight. It don't get much better than this

Mannings passes were overthrown underthrown. Yes some were dropped this Offense ran for a whopping 42 yards on 15 tries. You know and everyone on this page knows we can't win a SB like this. so what do we do

Orton had a line about the same as now. 5 - 0 my friend. Manning will take himself out when it's time. He knows what's happening. Then heaven help us. Everything else we have is a serious downgrade.

I just do not agree with that. The Seahawks have gone to 2 straight superbowls with a lousy offense and a #1 defense. If Elway is building in the Seahawks image then we are exactly what we are supposed to be. We are not the same team but we are close. Elway has spent all our money on D (besides DT) and this is who we are. We put everything on black and we are letting it spin. We tried the offense heavy team and blew it up. Now it's time for a change and defense is going carry this team. Id rather play Boston or Cincy with a #1 D than a #1 offense. I saw Manning throw 2 TD passes today and if they came down we would have a 'complete' team.

Your TV is different than mine I say him throw 2 picks over throw 2 wide open receivers. Underthrow Sanders when he was open for a TD. he had to slow down to catch that pass and was tackled we had to settle for a FG. I did see a drop pass that should have been a TD but I saw him throw into coverage double coverage more than not. The Pass DT dropped was into Double coverage and DT looked surprised he threw it to him. It will catch up with all of you who really are just happy with an ugly win. It's a shame that this great defense will be wasted because of Manning

"Brady will smack us"...don't forget, after 4 games last year, NE was 2-2, had just gotten embarrassed by KC, and people (including NE fans) were saying that Brady was done. I'm not saying that we are in the same position or even that Peyton is poised to roar back for an MVP year, but it goes to show that teams often evolve over the course of the year.
If Peyton keeps throwing more picks than TDs, then I my patience will obviously wear thin. But I think this team with Peyton has a higher floor than the team with Oz as the starter. Unfortunately, Peyton probably lowers the offensive ceiling, but with this quality defense, I'd rather keep my risk low, rather chase slightly higher offensive potential. And let's face it, as much as I like Oz, there is no doubt that he carries with him plenty of total bust potential. If Kubes wasted this talented defense on an eventual bust, he'd have a virtual mutiny on his hands!
