We wouldn't run the ball any better with Wilson, or Newton in there (besides their yards) with the run blocking I've seen so far this season.

And this is also about the team and not you being so enamored with Oz and hating Manning, Hop.

The pistol isn't the reason for our poor running. We ran it last year and our run game was fine. The offensive line this year has played like a collection of dudes from the Arena league.

The coach said it on Tuesday but you can blame me for putting it in his ear I guess. I have that much power That's why Hop is speaking in the third person today because Hop tells the coach of the Broncos what to say.

Renck is just a reporter ,but a reporter who talks with the coach of the Denver Broncos. If he want to continue talking with the coach he wouldn't miss quote him without a retraction. If he post one I'll let you know. Again the pistol is because Manning can't read the defenses going back. Sorry on a run play Manning can't change the play after it starts. so why would he need to read. He has to catch the ball so he's not looking at the defense while the ball is in the air and after the catch he just gives the ball to the back. where does he read. He's in the pistol because he isn't use to being under center and has a problem with it. after the read before the snap Manning doesn't read much he may read the safety or a back before the pass but not on a run. Backs like to get a head of steam going before they get the ball. In the pistol they don't get that. Yes the pistol doesn't go well with the scheme Kubiak runs. Don't care about all the stats it doesn't fit. If they do well they would do better. The teams that we ran well against are at the bottom of the league in rushing defense. The past game they went away from the run first plan and passed the ball too much that's why the 17-0 lead. Yes the coach agrees with me no I agree with him for once

On passing plays, it's easier to read the defense out of the shotgun...passing is a huge part of the game...we pass much better out of the pistol, which is born out by stats, results, observations, Manning, etc. Pistol may not be a good fit for Kubiak's preferred system, but they already tried Kubiak's system and it was a disaster all around.
How about you tell us what scheme Denver should run with Manning (because a QB change ain't coming)

How about we see what the coach comes up with. You blame me and although I've said this all season Now the COACH is saying it and You say how about Hop telling you how to fix the problem. I've told you how I'd fix it but now that the COACH has identified the same problem or just as he calls it Part of the problem let's hope that the man can fix it. I don't care how he fixes it just fix the problem because we can't keep hoping that we win the championship without running the ball. Stop thinking with you heart It's not about Peyton it's about the team.

I'm not blaming you, just don't appreciate the smug "see, I told you so, it was the pistol all along...Kubiak finally sees the truth." Then when someone counters, you dismiss, dismiss, dismiss. Guess I'm just used to a different way of debating/conversing.

not true the changed the blocking scheme last season then we ran the ball better. The added an extra tackle to the line and that got the running game going. Before that it looked a lot like it has the last 3 years. but we can get to the championship game not running the ball Maybe or we are one and done again not running the ball. If that's what the Bronco fans are happy doing well don't worry you are on your way. I don't know how to fix it I just know the pistol should be thrown out. at least with Manning at QB he isn't a runner and nobody is going to believe he will ever run the ball. Go all out and get after the only other man back there.

And Oz is the savior. Whatever. We neglected the QB position too long and this year neglected the line as well. Look at this line.....It is a rag tag mismatch of scrubs we could get cheap and the key players in the line are on IR now. Spout your words of wisdom but Oz won't fix this mess. We have a defense and receivers to die for. The rest is falling apart from neglect. And all of your self righteous wisdom won't fix it. It's more than just Manning getting old Hop.

I stop looking at Manning as the man to take us to the SB after his second season with the team reality hit me in the face then. The pistol is the problem. I was hoping that we would hire a coach that would have an offense that Manning would be able to run . Remember I was against Kubiak because I said Manning doesn't fit in his offense. Clearly he doesn't and the Pistol is the only offense that Manning wants to run. He no longer can run this offense. The line was made up to run Kubiak's style of things. Elway and Kubiak put their chips on Manning being able to fit. His age has caught up with him as his legs don't work as well as they use to. That's not His fault age catches up to all the great one. If some of us stop and take a good look at it we will all realize that a QB who can run can play in the pistol better than one who is unable to outrun their coach. Already the injuries have started with Manning. The last 3 seasons he has been hurt near the end of the seasons. Last season it was week 8 and the Quad bothered him the rest of the season. Now he has a foot injury. That injury to a QB who can't run in the first place sends up a red flag to me. At this point any QB would be better in the pistol than Peyton. Manning may be able to play in a scheme that he will adapt to but the west coast and the pistol aren't for him at this stage of his career. Neglect is not why this line is bad. If they knew Manning couldn't run Kubiak's system They would have paid the line they had last season and not let them go. They drafted linemen to fit Gase and Fox style when they were coaching here not Kubiak's. They drafted 2 linemen this season lets see how they do in the draft next season. I bet they draft linemen and may bring in some others to fit the system Kubiak wants to run. I don't know all but I do know a little about football. I played the game in the old JFL at 6 years old and played until I was too small to play. Then I coached. I love the game but no I don't know everything but I've been right so far about the Manning situation. all around.

We tried to get Manning (and every other available QB and/or Coach), but no one wants to work for Ross. The man is a moron--totally ignorant about football. He actually cut nearly 20,000 seats out of JRS when he redesigned it this year and then increased the number of luxury seating and services to luxury areas by enormous numbers. Hello Asshole! As an owner you should recognize that those locked in boxes with big screen televisions and lounge seating are NOT the ones who are going to make the noise that make home site an asset. Everything he does is ill thought out and downright bad for a team that wants to win. He's not trustworthy, as Tony Sporano (and I'm not making a case for Sporano) and others have found--so why would anyone want to work for him? Just Sayin'...
I was hoping Peyton would win another SB before he retires, but as you just pointed out, he's been misused. You don't take someone who is superior in a system and then change the system on them. What's with these owners anyway?

I wish I'd put a hundred on Holly Holm beating Rousey at 20-1...lol. I had a bad feeling about this fight as Holm is a very good boxer and kickboxer. Luckily I didn't bet money at all....lol

Well Utah, I'm guessing you are as surprised as me. Holly Holm beat the shit out of Rhonda Rousy and knocked her out cold. It wasn't even close ! Holm fought the perfect fight and her boxing and kicking are lethal. She even worked out a couple of clinches and had a take down. Color me amazed !!! :o

Rousey was hospitalized over night. She needs plastic surgery! Wow. What a butt kicking. This is All courtesy of ESPN this morning.

As for the game today, we haven't talked much about the Chiefs yet this week. We should win this one. Go Broncos!!!

I watched it as well and Rousey never was really in it. Holm has a hell of a punch and her kickboxing skills are phenomenal. As she knew how to neutralize Rousey on the mat. When she was knocked out Rousey was gassed.

Here is the full Rousy Holm fight for those that might have missed it.
A few notes for you to look for:
Rousy looks a little chunky and not nearly as tone as the taller Holm
watch the elbow Rousy eats, I think that really shook her
Look at the postures in the corners after the first round
Rousy still gassed at the start of the second round
Just before the knockout kick, Rousy is stunned and has no legs
Holm actually helps Rousy upright and positions Rhonda's body for the kick
The look of shame in Rhonda's face after the hug after the announcement
Final note: Rousy was not in good enough shape for a fight of this caliber

I don't know why she kept striking with her. Rousey's strength is in her wrestling. I know nothing about this new girl but it seems like her background and strength is in striking. Rousey looks to have improved in striking recently but her corner should have been screaming for more take down attempts. Rousey looked like a wrestler boxing with a boxer out there. When Rousey did commit to the take down, Holmes went down fairly easily and Rousey almost had another one of her world famous arm bars. I am surprised she did not try it again and instead just decided to stand and box it out.

Thanks Icky Holm was hitting her with that left whenever Rousy came in for the attack. Holm was determined not to let Rousy get her on the floor. Not a fight fan any more but that was a fight that Rousy didn't seem to be ready for. It reminded me of when Iron Mike got beat . He Tyson was in shock that he was beaten Rousy looked that way standing there at the end. Sure it was from the concussion. Thank God that the last 2 punches were missed while Rousy was on the floor. Thanks for the view
