I was talking future tense for the playoffs, not past tense for this last game.

I relly couldn't come up with one on my own that I was comfortable with. Then I heard Marshall Faulk's take. He thinks, we should start Brock and if it is not working fall back on Peyton again. He reasoned, if we start Peyton and it's not working, that it probably won't work for Brock either. When we need a spark, the team is more likely to respond for Peyton. If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it is, which we've experienced a few times this year, fix it quick. That take led me to reason, that 2 weeks is plenty of time to formulate two decidedly different game plans and get the team and QBs ready in both. Regardless of who starts, we can keep Ds guessing and off balance. We may also be able to alternate at will. Imagine a team having to gameplan against two succinctly different offenses and the twists they would present. The longer we wait to announce a starter the more that already applies. Why not take full advantage of our situation? Any of you can feel free to submit this to the local papers or talk shows in hopes Kubiak gets wind of it quick...lol
The whole season Brock has been a first half wonder and Manning good in the second half. Just plan to make the switch when they head in for halftime

I do like this plan though. Keeps Manning rested and gives Brock the start. He already knew that if he stunk it up that he would get pulled. It's that way for any QB in the league, no different now. If he plays well they keep him in.
Brock wasn't pulled Manning was put in for a spark. My problem is We don't know if the team would have pulled it together behind Brock. After CJ fumbled CJ should have been pulled if you were pulling people for the Turn over. I know that wasn't what happened but to say Brock was pulled is not what happened. Kubiak said he thought the team needed a spark. How everyone thinks Manning made the line block better or the receivers catch the ball and the backs to hold onto the ball is crazy. All that happened was the rest of the team did their jobs They could have done that with Brock if the coach screamed more. Brock really only had one mistake and that was not picking up a blitz and getting hit when he fumbled. The INT's were not his fault pass went through the receivers hand and the other his arm was hit as he threw the ball causing the ball to sail. he had a good game 232 yards in one half I think the play caller should have been calling run plays like he did when Manning was in. Remember that coaches didn't trust him to pass the ball only allowing him to pass the ball 9 times. think about that before we call him the starter again. Brock 22 passes Peyton 9
22 passes and two interceptions. And he was throwing the ball in spots that got his receivers killed all day.

I watched the game again and the biggest move that was made was at the right tackle position. Taking out Scholfield and putting in Polumbus was the best move of the day. The running game was much better and the pass protection was also. Not sure if I see where he was getting the receivers killed Utah I must have missed that. He was putting the ball on the money. But I can see why the receivers drop his passes he has one of the strongest arms in the league the ball has zip to it. The INT's were not his fault but the people who like manning will say it was but Norwood can't catch unless he uses his body the ball went right through his hands and the other the arm was hit as he threw it call it like you want but you saw the game.

Congrats Ute, and for kicking butt in ours. Springs made a nice run at the end, but your lead was too great. I got desperate about five weeks ago and made bad picks trying to get lucky, hoping to close the gap. Turns out, I would've came a lot closer if I had just stuck to my guns. Oh well, maybe next year

The schedule actually looks easier than this year. I guess that's good. We could be without Manning next year and a bit easier schedule could help Oz, or whoever our QB ends up being, settle in.

It will be OZ I saw on 4 News last night where Elway said he thought Oz was doing very well and they will be looking to sign him. I don't know his exact word but that's what was said. I think Oz played himself into a contract not a huge one but he played well.

He has done a great job. Much better than I thought. If he is our QB of the future, I am OK with that. I think it was the fear of the unknown that had me worried about him. But that's the case with any new QB.
I'm good with starting Oz next week and seeing how he does. If need be, we can put Manning in for that "spark", as they called it. I just want to keep winning. I will make a bold prediction and guarantee that we do not lose THIS week.

Ha !!! Good bet I don't know if they continue to keep Manning as a reliever out of the bullpen That worked last week but it would become a distraction and split the locker room he will make a decision and stick to that. Either way I don't think we will win if they turn the ball over. But I've seen what Brock can do and that's all I've been asking for.

I say don't tell them who the QB is. Tell the team only and have a closed practice. We aren't playing the Pats yet so we don't have to worry about video taping.
Hell, tell them Manning is starting and then start Oz. Put them both in at the same time and really mess with the other teams head.

I just thought if the Chargers and the raiders move to LA they will have to change the teams that we play the next season. One of the teams will go to the NFC west and Seattle Will Move back to the AFC west. So lets hope The Rams move

No shit. I didn't mind playing Seattle in the old days but now they have a top end team. The Rams would be much better.

The Rams owner is financing the development of the new stadium. He also bought the land it will go on I think. That will 86 either the Bolts or the Faders.

Looks like Manning gets the start. I still think that even if that was going to be their decision, they should have waited until later to announce it to the public.

Denver is a good team, but I think the high ranking they received from Marvez was pretty generous given our o-line problems that have plagued us all season. Things seem to be turning though and if the o-line can protect Manning and the run game can keep it up we should be ok.

I was all for waiting too. I suppose they couldn't have kept it a secret even with a closed practice. Someone would have slipped the truth out. An unnamed source. The only way to avoid that would have been to split the reps and that would have been a disservice to Manning. Well, the chips are in. Let's hope Manning is 100% and rested. Hope he has 3 great games left.

I hope the Steelers come here thinking it will be as easy as it was at their house if we play them. They are tough team but they play playoff teams away from home and they put up L's. They lost to the ravens 2 times the Bengals at home the second game with them They played the rookie and won feeding him lots of blitzes. Hawks beat them in Seattle and the Chiefs beat them in KC. I think we have a good shot if we take care of the ball.
NE. can't stop the run as long as we keep the ball on the ground we can beat them here again. but again we can't have turnovers. All we need is to run the ball down the throat of a team and this defense will win games for us.
