Yes. But there is something to be said for QUALITY of conversation. Not just QUANTITY.

I love a man who always has a great response ;) ! That's why I enjoy it here as well, Em. In the early days of Faux we had some great convos--lots of special people, and I would sometimes blog late into the night because it was so much fun and I appreciated the wit and good-natured rivalries. When it started to go south and the convos started to waver, eventually getting to be more shit-talking than anything else, I opened up The Olde Switzerland. I've never been sorry, and even when the conversation is scarce, it's always good. Thanks to all of you that make it that way!

[size=150][color=#0000FF]I remember when we first invited people to Switzerland, we were looking for smart, funny people. We got them in spades.

Okay. I think Peace is back there playing games! My posts are all getting screwy... Then one of yours, Em, came up with codes, but in black--and then when I quoted you, your comment came out perfectly, in blue. Either that, or I'm just seeing everything wrong...

I think that at the time it was just what people were looking for. Frankly, I have no clue what people are looking for now.

That looks like one of the old TV test patterns. I haven't seen one in years.

I notice that most pundits are picking the Texans to win this weekend, and that makes me nervous. On the other hand, Chris Collinsworth picked us to lose again and that's a good sign.

LOL, that was from the days of black-and-white television. I wonder if they even make those things anymore?

Believe it or not, Em--and I can't remember what the circumstances were, but Peter and I were talking about that just the other night. We haven't seen them in forever. They had some in the days of color, but not a lot, and then with the advent of 24-hour, neverending, way too much television, they were gone.

I don't miss them, but I saw some great football on black-and-white television. I saw the news of Kennedy's assassination that way. I will always think of Walter Cronkite in black-and-white, although he was around long after the Evening News was in color.

Ochocinco uses Twitter to challenge Ravens — 4:59 p.m.

You just have to wonder how bright this guy is. Doesn't he know that the Ravens defense hurts people?

Chad is very bright, Em--he just can't help playing the class clown. He's been doing it since he was a kid--you know that I know because he became a wide receiver when Josh was brought on as QB in high school. His antics kept him from being picked up by a great college team--they all wanted him, you know. He was a year ahead of Josh, and because he was so busy having fun, he neglected his school work and his grades suffered. He ended up going to a JC for a couple of years. Clearly, it did not stop him from getting to the NFL and making lots and lots of money....

I've never found a correlation between making a lot of money in professional sports and intelligence.

Not knowing him personally, I can only judge by what he does and says. All that I see is a person who demands constant attention. That is all too common and seems to afflict wide receivers in particular.
