I love French Toast. And Pancakes. I've always gone without them in the past--worried about calories and all that bad stuff, but not any more. I don't plan to gorge on anything, but I don't plan on doing without. Too little time left, even if I live a long life. I've been thinking things over and re-evaluating... :o

I've had occasion to reevaluate a number of times, the last couple when I learned that I had cancer and when I learned that it was back. My latest PSA was 1.1, by the way, which is very good.

For dinner, the club is serving roast prime rib with thyme au jus and roast garlic potatoes.

I am so so happy to hear that, Em! You must be so relieved when you see numbers like that...
Too bad there's no cure--or even treatment for Arachnoiditis. It's categorized as "hopeless"--which really sucks if you have it, and of course, I do! One doctor, when describing it, said, "It's as painful as cancer, but without the release of death." They refer to the pain from it as "suicidal." It's so rare, though, that there isn't much research being done to find treatments or a cure. There are some "experimental" treatments going on. Someone sent me the "protocol" for those treatments. I'd have to find a doctor that is willing to do it, and it involves IV infusions on a daily basis of various substances, and I'm not sure that putting myself through all that is worth the "chance" that I "could" get a little relief for "short periods of time." Oh dear me. I keep saying I'm not going to discuss this online and then I do it anyway. STFU, self!

Hey, get it off your chest, ck! I understand your internal debate about treatment. There is a limit to what I would undergo in order to live a little longer. I personally think that quality of life is a lot more important than length, but that is entirely a decision that everybody has to make for themselves.

The "protocol" that has been sent to me isn't about living any longer, Em. In fact, it guarantees nothing, save that I might see a few hours of relief from the intractable pain I live with 24x7. It has no guarantees, and in fact, could cause extra problems (or do nothing at all). I would have to find a doctor who would be willing to give me "experimental" treatment first, as well. I don't think it is worth it at this time. If you read about the disease, you will understand a bit more about it. Just Google "excruciating pain arachnoiditis." It brings up all kinds of stuff about it. Or if you're smart, you'll just nod your head and say you read about it... Do you find that the little smilies keep changing places? :?:  :!:

For some reason, I'm always using them. I think it's because there are times that I'm not sure the humor of what I'm saying comes through, so I have to stick a smiley in to reinforce that I'm being funny. In some cases, I like being able to roll my eyes or plant my evil face on paper. Can't do that when I'm writing novels.

I've noticed on Fox that some people are unable to tell when others are being sarcastic. I've never had any difficulty understanding where you were coming from. You express yourself very well. LadyHawk is also very good at it.

That means that I won't have to cook. I think that I'll have roast chicken and yams tonight.
