Much more talkin about health problems and I'm gonna dub this place the Swiss Senior Center.

One of the local favorites is chicken fried steak with cream gravy, served with fries and Texas toast. It is available super-sized, of course, with two steaks. I don't remember how many thousand calories and the load of fat and cholesterol, but it's definitely in the lethal category.

This place in Fort Worth offers ten pounds of chicken fried steak, five pounds of mashed potatoes and a loaf of Texas toast. If you can eat it all it's free, but nobody has ever managed it.

Not me! My son, Zach, loves Fillet Mignon, but I'll take a NY Strip over that every time! Mignon is too too tender for me. I like a steak you can chew!

There is no steak that I'd take over a great roast au jus. It's so much juicer!

I can be sarcastic from time to time. But not ALL the time. There is too much sarcasm in the world for me anymore. I am avoiding/eliminating those people who are perpetually sarcastic AND negative (who then pass it off as "just joking"). Yeah, whatever. Don't need 'em; don't want 'em.

People who say hurtful things and pass it off as joking are abusive. There isn't a damn thing humorous about it! They are screwed up and you can't fix them. The only way to handle them is the one that you are taking - have nothing to do with them.

I think you're "good" dred. LOL I've just changed a lot in the past year and a half. I just erased a mile-long diatribe on this but decided I'll just leave it as this for now. Thanks doll.

Nah...I'm cool. I'm just sayin...too much sarcasm in the world for me lately. I understand it - people are disenchanted with the way of the world these days, myself included. I think I'm just seeing sarcasm being used where it shouldn't be is all. Just a view point. No need to walk on thin ice or egg shells.

One of the things that I like about the group that posts here is that they have the subtlety to discern if a comment is meant to be hurtful or not. People that I like can say things to me that would offend me if said by people that I dislike. There is a mutual respect here that is very important to me. Thank all of you for being here!

Yeah. See how small the group here has become? Because a lot of them don't WANT to be respectful to each other. They want to just sling the poo when they feel like it. Nothing wrong with that...they're "adults" and can spend their free time whenever or however they like. So kudos to them for keeping it away from here - which, in essence, shows respect to CK.

But it speaks volumes as to WHY people aren't here anymore. They want to raise some hell which isn't allowed in Switzerland.

When I was a kid I was told that there was a time and a place for everything. It is good that people respect that. The thing is, I don't want to do everything. Hell, there are some things that I couldn't do if I wished! I just go to sports blogs to talk about sports, although I can certainly be distracted from that by interesting comments. For me, Switzerland is a good fit.

Since nobody came by for breakfast yesterday, I have all of these eggs, English muffins, etc left over, so it's eggs Benedict again this morning.

I am so so sorry I've missed your eggs the past couple of days, Em. I just love Eggs Benedict and yours look perfect! We don't seem to have a large breakfast crowd here. Swissies just seem to be afternoon and evening people. I'm usually up early and getting to sleep quite late. I have a problem with my computer, though. It goes to blue screen at some point in the day and when it does, my day is done. Now that I'm using my hubby's computer, once he shows up, has dinner and watches some television downstairs, he comes upstairs and takes his computer for himself... I don't seem to have control over my destiny anymore ;) .

I know how you feel, ck. I've had times between computers. I always order on line so that I can have one built just the way that I want it and there is always at least a 10-day wait. I feel crippled without a computer. I've thought of keeping a backup computer, but it's too much trouble.

I guess that I'll start fixing brunch or lunch instead. I eat breakfast before most people get up anyway. Thanks for coming by. Can I fix you a drink?

I'd love a drink, Em; however, now that I've told the world about my Arachnoiditis, I don't think it's appropriate. All the narcotics I take for the pain might make me look bad, drinking as well...

That's what I have, dred. Mine's an Acer with large keyboard and big screen. Not light for carrying it around, like on the campaign that they bought this for me on; but I managed. I'm using a cane now (It was as hard for me to say that as most anything I've said here, but it's the truth) so it might be more difficult--like impossible right now. That's not saying that I might go back to not using a cane any time. It gets worse/better when ever it chooses. Sucks to be owned by a disease!!!!!
