Breaking news
Ha Ha last laugh goes to the champs, meanwhile, back at the ranch, (Dove Valley) #7 is plotting to take advantage of the fracas by opening a fresh can, grabbing a coke, putting his feet up on the desk, and watching video's of TD doing the mile high salute.

Even if the 49ers took on $4-5M of his 2016 salary, it was reported that he is unwilling to restructure his deal. That means Denver would be on the hook for $19M 2017-2019 and $21M in 2020. Elway won't commit to that when Kaepernick could just as easily fail as succeed at this point of his career.
Maybe something gets done, but it will be on Denver's...and more specifically Elway's...terms. No way a cluster-f'd organization or an unhappy player dictates terms to the best GM in the game today.
In truth, I'd rather see the Broncos move past the whole thing and stick with Sanchez. I've outlined why before and I know I'm in a minority, but that's just my gut.

I'm actually with you south. I think Sanchez has come in and done everything right from day 1. He is showing that he is committed and he has a team, and more specifically a defense, around him that can help shoulder the burden of winning games. We don't need him to be Manning in his prime. Yeah so he butt fumbled a few years ago, oh well. When I replayed that play I didn't see what the big deal was. If the lineman had been standing up instead of bent over engaged in a block would it have been remembered? Probably not. Elway lined up under a guard once but we all got over that. I'm sure Manning has made some bone-headed moves in the past too. heck, it took manning taking 6 weeks off for someone to pass him in interceptions this year. Sanchez will be fine and honestly I'd take his hard work over Kap and his bicep kissing any day. The more I look at Kap the more I realize how he isn't being a leader.

I agree. I think we can do better than Kap in the draft a lot cheaper. Plus we won't have to endure that arm kissing BS.

Am I the only one that sees this guy as an absolute stud in Phillips' defense? The fact that this kid could actually be available at #31 is insanity to me. He has all the tools to be an absolutely dominant defensive lineman at the next level. I get that he's a bit goofy and there are some red flags that need to be checked out, but his football talent is undeniable. On a team with the leadership Denver has, especially on defense, I don't think there is any reason he wouldn't thrive.
From what I can tell, he got drunk and fell out a window. The pot charge was because it was in his room, but even the police officer believed he hadn't been smoking it. He declined to run the shuttle drills for some scouts, but displayed well above average football IQ when whiteboarding with defensive coaches. His brother is reportedly a negative influence, but there's a lot of holes in those stories too. Everything that is 'negative' about him appears to be circumstantial.
Bottom line for me, this guy is easily a top 10 talent and fills a need for Denver with the departure of Jackson. Can somebody please tell me why Denver shouldn't draft this kid if he's there at #31?

...maybe, but Schefter is reporting it's Goff-Wentz or Wentz-Goff. Elliot would be intriguing, but I don't think you give up what Philly did to get a RB, even one as good as Elliot might be.

Could be right but they jumped in front of Dallas who would have taken Elliott. I just can't see giving up that much for a QB that no one knew about 3 months ago. There is no Elite QB in this draft unless there is a Tom Brady in the group. Tell me did you know of Wentz or Goff before the combine truthfully? I looked at type of them way back in Dec. to see how they would play because of CBS draft wrote they were coming out and where they may be drafted. Most had all QB's in this draft being drafted late first or second round The Eagles just gave Bradford a new contract. How will you trade that contract. no they go get Elliott. This will hurt the Cowboys who have been bringing in QB's but their game is running the ball to keep Romo healthy. this is just My opinion There hasn't been a RB like Elliott in a long time he makes your team better right away. What QB can you say that about in this draft That being said this says you are right and I am wrong https://t.co/HwGlrXyo8q

I know his drops come at inopportune times, but I think he'll be fine. Still generating a ton of offense and will be a solid target for whoever is at QB. He also helps Sanders out quite a bit with the safety having to cheat DT's way. That said, I didn't like the deal when Denver made it and I don't like it today. No skill player should get that much money. Everyone is replaceable...WRs and RBs are a dime a dozen. If it were me, I'd spend money on the OL and on defense.
Utah...what were your impressions of Goff?
The winner in these trades will be the Chargers. Their phone is likely ringing off the hook right now. I think they can finally get a legit LT to protect Rivers in Tunsil or they can get Weddle's replacement in Ramsey. I'm hoping they go with Tunsil as I think Ramsey is a play maker that can give Denver trouble twice a year.

Goff is a good QB. Utah was able to contain him in the game I watched here but I think he'll be better than most in the NFL. More of a pocket passer. He isn't a big run threat and he needs to put on some more muscle.

Holy crap this is an active football day, huh?

Goff is the first player off my board because of the California ties, Makes since for the LA Rams he has a small fan base already. You guys make all the since in the world about a QB going second I just have a gut feeling about it. All the QB's in this draft are just about the same that's why Cleveland traded down and will still draft a QB. they just picked up more picks with the trade. I didn't think DT was going anywhere I just would trade him for a great chance to have a running game. He dropped balls before manning was replaced. I think he dropped more with Peyton than Brock. But he dropped a lot of passes the year before too that's my problem. He has always dropped passes. The last great game he had for us was SB 48

Neither QB is worth what the Rams and Eagles gave up for them. I know Goff isn't the second coming of Andrew Luck and even though I don't know about Wendtz he's iffy as well.
