now The Broncos have the last pick and I would love that to be Derrick Henry. But I didn't put him there. John drafts defense and I feel he will do the same here. Hope I'm wrong but there are a few more good backs in the Draft in the second and third rounds. But Robert Nkemdiche but before you say yeah think about the NFL getting stronger with what has happened to Tommy boy Brady. Who can take that chance so I didn't take him. We have a chance to take care of two needs with one pick ST and Safety I have the Broncos Picking Keanu Neal SS out of Florida 6.0 211 pounds projected as a 1-2 rounder so he really isn't a reach but fits a need with our losses in FA this season There you have it Make it better guys Thoughts

I'd gamble on Nkemdiche or Henry. Probably Nkemdiche.

You would have the right gamble it will be defense. I have to 1 hour before the draft to email my mock to my brother There are about 15 of us they are at a party at my brother in laws house Wish I could be there Maybe next year when I take the Trophy back so they could see it. I may change it again and again before I mail it.

A combined, so called, experts mock draft.

About 36 hours more of "expert" speculation until reality strikes.

If he's there or close to 31 you have to think Kim-Dee-Chee is the pick.

Don't sleep on Karl Joseph though. Late regular season & playoffs show that we need the depth. Dude can hang with the Gronk's of the world, especially by Week 16

I'm lovin' me some Joseph at 31 Yi. If Lynch doesn't fall to a reachable trade up spot, I think that's where we should go. Nkimdeche wouldn't hurt my feelings, but I think he goes top 15.

No final mock for me, but here's what I'd like Denver to do:

Round 1 - Robert Nkemdiche (DL-Ole' Miss)
I'm a huge fan of what I think Nkemdiche can become in Phillips' defense under Kollar's coaching. He is a risk though. I think Denver's locker room is solid and will allow this kid to reach his potential. I'm serious about the JJ Watt comparisons.

Round 2 - Dak Prescott (QB-Mississippi State)
Described as a raw version of Donovan McNabb and a guy that Kubiak reportedly loves. Let him sit behind Sanchez for a year and then give him the keys.

Round 3 - Jaylon Smith (LB-Notre Dame)
Would you trade a 3rd Round pick this year for a 1st Round pick next year? Me too. That's what this pick is. Smith can take over for Marshall or play next to him in a year. Comparisons to Navorro Bowman seem accurate.

Round 3 - Connor McGovern (OG-Missouri)
The interior OL needs depth with Garcia far from a certainly. McGovern could be a plug and play OG for Dennison.

Round 4 - Rashard Robinson - CB - LSU
Great press skills on the outside. Great size/speed for the position as well. Denver is going to need to find Talib's replacement and I think Robinson can absolutely be that guy.

Round 5 - Tyvis Powell - FS - Ohio State

Good kid, hard worker, good skill set, solid vs. run and pass. Special Teams from day one, taking over for Stewart in the not-so-distant future.

Round 5 - Tyler Higbee - TE - Western Kentucky
Great size/speed for the position. Converted WR, so he runs routes well. Very solid blocker as well. Not going to pancake anyone necessarily, but will get his hat on someone and stay in front of them.

Round 6 - Mike Thomas (WR-Southern Mississippi)
Hardest working guy on the field. Not a burner necessarily, but is explosive after the catch. Wins 1-1 matchups with his body control. Needs to get better on the LOS as press corners can get into him a bit.

Round 7 - Peyton Barber - RB - Auburn
Shot in the dark here...read a report that Denver is high on Barber at the end of the draft. Denver could use a RB too, so why not.

Round 7 - Max McCaffrey - WR - Duke
...because nobody in Denver would consider a McCaffrey as Mr. Irrelevant.

5 UDFAs...why not, right?
Josh Forrest - LB - Kentucky - Has a Kentucky LB ever NOT worked out for Denver?
Quinton Jefferson - DL - Maryland
Trevon Coley - DL - Florida Atlantic
Andy Janovich - FB - Nebraska
Drew Kaser - P - Texas A&M

Joseph would never fall to us if he wasn't hurt we need safety help now you draft your first pick to help you now not next season . I do agree we need Safety and ST help That's the reasoning behind the Neal pick. Nkimdeche takes plays off. That the word on him why give him first round money to play hard 2 out of 5 plays. I never saw JJ take plays off even when his helmet is knocked off. But yeah when he plays he play. Prescott is their man unless That Trade we don't think happens - happens then they will go RB in the second Booker from Utah would be a better pick if we get Kaup or not he will make Sanchez a probowler If he's not there Kenneth Dixon Louisiana Tech . I still don't like the QB in this draft to be the man here for a 10 years

Mike Klis @MikeKlis
"Hearing Broncos trade for Colin Kapernick by Sunday not likely. Not impossible but there have zero talks. #9news #9sports"

I'm all for not trading for Kaepernick. Again, I'll defer to Elway/Kubiak, but I think Denver is better off without the circus. Go to work with people that want to be here. Kapernick didn't want to restructure. That tells me he's about the money, not the team.

Agreed. I think Kap's all about him (and his kissing arm) and no one else.

I also agree with Hop on drafting DeVontae Booker. I watched him at Utah and he'd make Hillman look like a practice squad player his first year. He was a fun player to watch here last year.

Nkemdiche is a projected 1st rounder late so I agree with that. Prescott is predicted to be drafted as late as the 4th or 5th round. I say pick him up in the bottom of the 3rd. Booker is the 3rd RB predicted to come off so a late 2nd rounder would be about right. The other 3rd rounder I'd go with McGovern. Smith with the 4th. Powell and Robinson and in the 5th. After that it's best player left.

And like Hop....if we can't move up far enough in the second to get Booker, then Dixon is about right in the bottom of the second. Unless there is a wild scramble for QB's, then Prescott should be available in the bottom of the 3rd. This is a real shitty QB class but teams do weird things sometimes reaching for need. Look at the Rams and Philly selling out the future for what should be two mediocre QB's. Washington used to be famous for such moves but Dan Snyder must be getting a clue finally.

Now, if Hop is right and Philly drafts Elliott, then all bets are off. Henry will go somewhere in the first as well methinks....then getting Booker might require trading up. of course Booker is coming off a knee injury so he might fall to the bottom of the second. Plus he's 24.

DRAFT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm excited for this as it's totally unpredictable. I'll wait up, everyone will use their allotted time and it will be late, and of course we will trade out of the spot while on the clock.

Usually how it goes.

But I look so dapper in my hat  Spence isn't a cover Backer right now. He can rush the passer but will he be able to play anything more than Special Team for this team? I stand by you draft a first rounder to help your team instantly. If he can't cover doesn't get off the blocks (Right Now) you break Elway's streak of his first picks making an impact their rookie years.

I have sent in my mock as is. If I win or not It will be my decisions. Not our point system goes as follows
15 points if you have the right team and player in the slot Rams =5 Goff= 5 slot#1 =5
If another team trades into the say third and the player you picked is still selected that gets you 10 points player and slot
If you have predicted the trade and the team and the player 25points
I have 2 big shots with Elliott and with Paxton Lynch. I starting to think Jack may fall out of the top 15 If he drops down to Denver would anyone take a chance on him and instead of playing him send him right to the IR and get him ready for next season? We don't have a need for him this season but we have Shaq and Ware being gone next season maybe at least one of them. Just food for thought
